My PS recommended partial unders. I have little breast tissue on top. Plus I wanted to be sure to keep my tear drop shape, I did not want it to look like I had a ball on my chest, so more natural for me and my shape. Plus better for mamos, cc, rippling...what did you end up getting???

Well I had to check 2 of them, first off I have very little breast tissue and second that is mainly the way my PS does them!

I have over's. My PS said I have enough tissue to cover them. You can't see anything. My PS said they would also sag less.

I picked unders for the many of the same reasons already stated.

* it is easier do mammos
* there is more "me" to the touch and sight
* less chance of seeing the implant / rippling / and cc
* that is the first thing the ps said
* I have a friend with overs for 12 years. She is mid 30's and looks like she could use a lift now. She said she'd do unders if she had it to do again.

I wanted unders becaue of how they look and feel, but my ps only does unders and saline..he gave me a choice incision placement and i chose crease. he recommended the areola, but the thought of that hurts too much!!!! LOL I'm a wimp, what can i say?

I'll be getting unders beacuse my mother survived breast cancer, and in mamographs the implant will only hide 10% of my tissue. Wich I figure, combined regular mamograms and occasional MRI will help me stay clear of any doubts concerning a cancer scare withous inhibiting me ffrom having a FABULOUS chest

My PS and I discussed both. His preference was unders and it was all for many of the reasons that have been stated. I felt comfortable and confident with the decision that we both made (it was my preference anyway)

I picked "they look more natural" because that was my number one reason for getting unders. I had the other reasons too. I've seen some pics of overs that look great, but I don't think I would have had the tissue to pull it off.

Out of all 4 consults I went to PS's recommended unders or partial unders because of not enough breast tissue. Plus I started every consult requesting natural looking breast. I think unders or partials can contribute to a more natural look. I ended up with partial unders and can still feel the implant so its a good thing I didn't try to get overs...they probably would've popped out by now!

I have unders. Mainly for mammo testing, PS prefers this placement, and I hope they will have less chance of CC and other complications.

I thought it might decrease the chance of rippling and my PS said 95% of his patients do unders.
