Just curious as to why we get redos. Please only vote if you have had a redo or have one scheduled, not just "thinking" about a redo at some point in your future.

1. You had a great BA w no complications but you weren't entirely happy w the results, so you made a cosmetic change. (ie. to go bigger, go smaller, change filler, change profile, etc)

2. You had a complication and needed a repair.

I had a redo to fix my CC but changed placement, size and implants as well.

I needed a redo to correct my bottoming out....i kept the same size and implants, because i was happy with the size. I got permanet sutures put in and now all is great!!

Had a reimplant after explant due to infection.

I had a right side re-do on day 12 after my BA due to a severe hematoma.
The implant was surgically ruptured and removed, the pocket evacuated of the hematoma and a new implant put back in.

Good idea for poll! Results will likely be different than general BA population b/c as Nikki/Ivy have said people with complications are more drawn to the support this forum offers over the long run.
Results should still be interesting though!

1st redo due to cc after 10 years mind you,
2nd redo (August 30th 2008 - hasn´t happened yet)
pocket revision and implants too small..

I'm having my redos on Oct.2 nd.

I had to have my left breast redone 6 months after my original surgery in 2005, the reason I had scar tissue that was causing alot of pain and my lefty was smaller than the right..my PS thought I needed 30 more cc's for the left cause I had more tissue..not the case..they weren't close to being even, so I had the lefty redone and the same size implant as the right.

I have unders and wasn't told that if I weight lift that that would cause issues. Everytime I'm doing upperbody workouts my implants flatten out and try to run for the pits! The main part is I'm having so much pain in my lefty again..the scar tissue is back..and better than ever!

I wanted to go larger and it worked out that'll I'll get my two problems fixed in one shot.
I'm getting sil overs..my new PS (I'll never go to the old one ever again!!)..agreed that overs was the right choice..that's what I asked for when I met with him..he said there was no reason to put implants under the muscle with the weight lifting I do. While reading his info I read that he doesn't suggest doing any chest work if you have unders.

So that's that..I have saline unders 480cc mod rounds now and am getting them redone Oct.2 to get rid of the scar tissue in ole lefty and get some big uns..going to 700-800 cc sil overs (whatever fits

)

My re-do is Sept. 3. My implants did not drop all the way(I'm top heavy)too rounded on the top . Also, the size will be larger due to some changes with my cleavage and side cleavage(pocket revision).

My first ba was only 6wks ago. First revision on Sep 15 for a lift, and possible second revision for pocket sutures in at the 4 month mark.

Silimed polyurethane foam covered, 325cc, over the muscle, high profile.
