No complications!

I did have two Mondors Cords under one breast. I don't consider this a complication because it resolves own it's own without intervention.

I choose major aesthetic as I had gotten hematoma as well as grade IV CC. Now waiting to see if I have fixed muscle tissue or CC again.

I voted, Yes, minor complications. Everything was going along swimmingly until 3 months post-op when my body started rejecting the permanent circumareolar stitches that were put in as part of my BL. Both have been removed and I am contemplating putting them back in, with a different type of suture. For aesthetic reasons. I have healed up fine and the infection is gone, I am just not happy with the aesthetic look of what I am left with, without the stitches in.

I picked major aesthetic, because I am scheduled for a re-do, even though I think my problem isn't that major. But, even if I weren't wanting to get bigger implants, I would still choose to get the right pocket fixed. (I don't think my problem has a name - how frustrating! From what I understand, it's essentially like bottoming out, but it's to the side, not the bottom.)

I think it's called "malposition of implant." Official name for any problem where the implant does not sit where it ideally should. For whatever reason.

That's what I was calling it when I was researching it, but Dr. Momeni said that if it wasn't due to a surgical error, it's not considered malposition. ????? I don't know - seems like splitting hairs. I've just been calling it "stretching out" or "shifting implant"... (I think I just hijacked the thread - sorry!!!)

I voted major aesthetic.
I developed symmastia very early after my first surgery.
I had to get it surgically corrected in order to have normal looking breasts again.

Of course I picked "major complication" as I developed a Staph infection and had an explant on my left booby. Reimplant 4 months later. So, 3 surgeries later, I have the 'full set'!

For those of you reading and obsessing about complications, infection such as mine is a risk with ANY surgery, not exclusive to BA surgery at all. It was just one of those things, due to something not sterile during surgery most likely.

Also, as horrifying as explant sounds, and it was, it was do-able, and worth it in the long run.

I'd also like to say I joined this forum before my complication. But I absolutely could not have made it through without all of these wonderful, generous, honest, and lovely-boobified ladies.

Hematoma on Left boobie, needed emergency surgery....

So I chose :
Yes, major complications - Serious infection/hematoma/seroma requiring surgical draining or implant removal, anesthetics complications, necrosis or any other potentially life-threatening problems.
