The cost of an overnight stay, private room etc was inc in my hospital fee's. I could have stayed in if I'd have wanted to, but I was going stir crazy by 4.30pm and decided enough was enough and booked a taxi and came home LOL

I went home the same day. I wished I could have stayed though. I was on sooooo much pain meds and soooo nauseous. I would have really liked to stay in the reclining bed that night. I woke up crying in the middle of the night and was just really uncomfortable

It was my preference to go home the same day, but the surgery group I went with told me I had to pay for the full overnight care anyway, whether I stayed overnight or not, which I thought was a bit cheeky... it was only afterwards when I really sat and thought about it that I realised I'd been charged for overnight care.

I checked in at 7, went to surgery at 8 and went home at 6.30

I ended up staying overnight.
When I woke up I was in the worst pain I ever felt in my life.
The ride home was 2 hours and I did not see myself making it,
so I stayed and I'm glad I did. The nurse was so patient and helpful I could not have made it without her.

I live in Ibiza and my PS is in Malaga,2 flights each way.My PS insists you should stay in hospital for the 1st night and in Malaga for 5 days after surgery.I couldn't find anyone to go with me for that amount of time,so I have to stay in the hospital for 6 nights on my own!Not looking forward to being alone,but on the other hand,at least I will rest,be looked after and the worst will be over by the time I come home.Can't decide whether to take my laptop with me as there is a phone in my room,but I think my phone bill to you guys might cost more than the surgery!

I was an outpatient and the procedure was performed at the doctor's location.

I will have it done as an outpatient in a surgical center. The center itself looks like a regular home set off from the street & the inside is really cozy feeling. I really don't like the feeling of hospitals and the center I'm going to doesn't have that cold hospital feel to it. It's a very relaxing place, so hopefully that will help keep me somewhat calm! I don't think I'd be comfortable staying overnight anywhere after surgery w/o my sweetie.

Mine is going to be outpatient... Then I get to go home to my wonderful boyfriend who is going to take care of me and make me feel better!!!

While our little girl spends the week with grandma and grandpa...

I was given the option of an overnight stay at an additional cost of $250, but I elected to have the surgery at a surgical day suite, and go home the same day. I have a GREAT and supportive boyfriend, and I'll know he'll go above and beyond to care for me. My kids are older teens and independant, soooo I think this is the right decision.

When I had my lipo in 1988, I DID elect to stay in hospital overnight. I had an 18 month old at the time, and the thought of caring for him while recovery from the surgery and anethesia was just too much!

I was an outpatient. My dh took me to our hotel after recovery and I stayed on my bed for the rest of that day and most of the next whilst he pandered to my every whim bless his smelly cotton socks!

I went in a surgical unit. I went in at 6 am . Surg 7 am. 2 procedures. Home andin bed at 12:30.
It actually went pretty fast and good. I think i am forgetting the pain.
