I had my BA (Saline, under muscle, incision under arm, 450cc L and 450cc R) on January 15, 2008. I went from a 34C to a 36D. My question is - I am suffering with severe sensitivity in my breast. I have contacted my PS and his nurse told me to use a cortizone cream. This did not help at all. I contacted her once again and she told me take 4 Advil 3 times a day. This has helped very little. Is there anything that I can do to calm down the sensitivity? It is to the point where I lay in bed with my pj top open and just cry. I know I am only about 2 1/2 weeks post op, but there has to be something I can use to calm this down.
Any suggestions? Last edited by Beverly; 02-01-2008 at 12:02 PM. Reason: Adding cc amount |

Vitamin B is good for the neurological system. Also, I believe (if you have NUMBNESS) that stimulating the area (rubbing over it lightly with your fingertips) can help nerve regeneration (kinda like "retraining" your nerves). I may be crazy, tho, lol.

I'm wearing gel nipple covers. It numbs it, when I don't wear them it shoots through me. I can tell it still does but ... not so bad.

i was dying too when i got that, and i'd slather on aloe lotion several times a day. it helped relieve a bit for a while, but......"that, too, shall soon pass" (give it about another week or so, it *will* eventually dissipate).
