i waited a week and drove right after my 1 week post BA appointment. before that i think it would have been uncomfortable with the seatbelt across my new boobies.

I didn't drive for 2 weeks. I probably could have driven sooner but my husband didn't want me to, so he did all the driving. I was more than happy to let him shuttle the kids around!

It was the sixth day, I drove myself to my PO appointment. The RN told me once I had full range arm motion again then it would be ok to drive.

I drove the next day because while my sister was driving me to my post op, her daughter was crying her lungs out so I have no choice but to take over the steering wheel. Is a little painful but I managed to get to my doctor's office.

i drove 4 days. it was ok. i held the seat belt someitms across the boobs b/c i felt it chafing and i couldnt use my arms to really turn the wheel - i mostly under steered. (placing hands on bottom of steering wheel) instead of turning hand over hand method.

im 12 days PO today and i drove around for 20mins since im returning to the office tomorrow. it was very uncomfortable and my chest felt so tight!! i didn't feel comfortable driving in the city so didn't bother getting on the freeway. i think it has a lot to do w/my incisions (transax) - i use my left hand most for steering and it feels like i have a bruise on my left armpit. im not as mobile w/my left arm as i am w/my right so this made it really difficult to turn.
BF is driving me to work tomorrow b/c im still not ready. hopefully by friday ill be feeling better... even just a little.
