Atomic will become famous soon enough
I wouldn't touch a tanning bed with a bargepole - I've seen the damage they can do to your skin... I'm happy to stay pale with my sunblock...

Mystic is pretty amazing. I do it every week- I've been using it for about 2 years now. It costs me $70/month, but it's totally worth it to me.

i'm a total combo tanner!! I chose sunless though bc I use it about every other day year round. then in warm months I'm outside tons AAAANNNNDDDD even though it's a super bad habit and I broke myself from it for a few years I am back to the beds as of today!!
(and i feel really naughty for it, I even told the girls at the gym to NEVER tell DF I am using the beds! and now I feel really naughty for that!!)

I voted that i embrace my pale skin.. Cos most of the year I do. There's just not much point here in Scotland cos it is cold and rainy 80% of the time anyway.

I started using sunbeds last summer and they gave me great colour but after going again for a few weeks this spring I have noticed so many fine lines I am shocked and totally anti beds now. I tan easily outdoors but don't often get the chance unless I go on holiday to somewhere warm, which I haven't done for a few years. Outdoor tanning seems to be much less harmful than sunbeds.

I am going to try a few different spray tans (I've never had one before) cos I am trying to feel summery even though the weather is so utterly shite here at the moment. I seriously think I am going to develop SAD if we don't have any summer AGAIN.

I know tanning is supposed to even out your skin tone and texture, but as a cosmetician, I'm terrified of photoaging. Which can happen even in the car or sitting next to an open window.

I'm 28, but ppl think I'm 20 tops. Being short (and flat chested) helps, but I'm certain avoiding the sun has helped more. Under UV light, I have the lack of sun damage of a young child. I long for the days when a creamy complexion was the fashion, but oh well. They love me in the goth clubs, lol.

I use tanning beds I am of german/irish decent and so I have really pale skin. I NEVER tan outside, its not like i haven't tried, but for some reason my skin just doesn't tan. I have tried every lotion, tan towels, tan butters, on and on. Some are good, but require a good bit of time and with 3 little ones, hubby and full time job...not much time left for that. I have never tried the professional spray tan and I am curious. Anyway for me tanning beds work the best.

I would LOVE it if I could use sunless tanning. No matter what kind I use, it turns me orange. I've tried EVERYTHING.

So, I just deal with being my pale freckly self from September through May. June - August I usually get tan by using tanning bed and from just being in pool with kiddos (use tanning bed at first so I won't fry in sun).

LOve to be tan.... so I use it all.... But I will say that tanning beds are my fave cuz the are quick & easy.... But do get darker outside.... I like the Airbrush tanning. What I do is get Neutrogena sunless tanning foam/mousse & use is on my arms & legs every day starting after I shower. Helps is last longer. When it starts fadiing I help it along.

well i would say that my tan the first time lasted for a week (and i also paid the 5 dollars extra for the hydration so it would last longer) and actually when my "tan" faded i could hardly tell a difference.it was like it just disappeared and i was back to my normal skin color.with the mystic i always ended up looking "Tan" but my wrists and face were always blotchy. with the versa spa it isnt like that at all it has pink under tones not orange.
you look alittle blotchy after you get sprayed but when you go home and take a shower a few hours later, you see alot of the access spray wash off and you end up looking like you have a real tan. nobody i know could even tell it wasnt a real tan and now i go once a week.
and also with the mystic tan i think it only has one level of spray but the versa spa has a bronzer. plus it has a choice of light, medium or dark spray. i recommend it over anything else. i to am very pale skinned and anything i ever tried to use before didnt seem to look right especially store bought. and i do try to tan as well but it takes me so long to get tan i usually just end up wasting my money

I voted tanning beds... I don't really spend time outdoors tanning, so if I do get a tan outdoors it's mostly my chest/arms/face (usually when I'm in my car!). I use a tanning bed maybe once a month for 15 mins for some base colour. Sometimes I might go twice a month, sometimes months can pass before I use a tanning bed again. I get freckles and pigment spots easily so I've started covering my face with a towel when I do use a tanning bed. I think the uneven pigmentation makes me look older. I still get freckles on my arms and a few on my chest but those I don't mind! My face is freckly all year round even if I don't use a tanning bed.

If I actually want to look tan I tend to use a sunless tanner, and possibly some tinted body lotion. The bed is only for base colour as I am almost translucent without it. I'm still really white compared to most people, you can hardly call me "tan" ever unless I'm wearing body builder competition colour (lol).

I do tanning beds the most, but I like to tan outside too. I just don't have that much time with 2 little ones. I would do more of sunless tanning too, but my husband whines about it. He hates the smell of all of that stuff and I have tried just about all of them

I guess it all depends. I am pretty dang pasty and I hate it!
If I have an event coming up, ie: a wedding, vacation and I am pale (which is typical) I will hit the naughty tanning bed a few times.

I was pretty good about avoiding it this summer tho as I know it is just so bad for you!
I don't necessarily want my face to be tan as I have a ton of freckles and the sun makes them worse. And unfortunately I have really sensitive skin and break out in hives with tanning lotion!

But I usually wear sun tan lotion, prolly 95% of the time.

I am all about the quality airbrush spray tans done by a person- not a machine. They are expensive but come out pretty flawless. I feel SOO guilty going into an actual tanning booth or laying out in the sun. I'm terrified of the effects aging has on the skin having studied it extensively.

Sooo... sometimes I'll embrace the porcelain look and sometimes I'll get that dark tan from the spray tan lady. If I could I'd probably get up there to be airbrushed twice a week!
