even tho i do love dr rey's work as well as dr rey himself, i really couldn't go to any PS that wasn't board-certified.

Mine is board certified as well! He goes to many lectures and seminars to keep up with what's happening in the world of plastics lol! I wouldn't have it any other way either, It just gave me the extra security-having a BA is a big decision though it's very common, there are still plenty of risks associated with it, so it was nice to see that my PS was qualified and certified

My surgeon is board certified. It made me feel more comfortable knowing that. Not sure I would have chosen someone who wasn't. It also gave me confidence that he was the top PS surgeon in Orlando the last several years... don't know if those things are rigged or not, but I believed it! IDK, maybe I'm just gullible!! lol... anyway, not sure if board certified surgeons are more expensive than non board certified surgeons, but I would pay the extra if they are! Peace of mind is worth everything to me...

Exclamation This is so important

I went to a consult with a Doc. that was not board cert. and they pretty much told me that if I had anxiety they could not operate on me. This is because they were afraid that I would have a panic attack and die on the table. Always make sure that you have the option of having your surgery at the hospital.

Mine has several certifications. He is also a renoun trauma surgeon. He teaches ps and reconstruction in a major university and has many acclaimations. Apart from that he is my husband's cousin. He did rhinoplasty on my husband (before I met him) to correct a horse butt to the nose. He also worked on several people I know. I felt incredibly comfortable with him - mostly because I knew he'd do an excellent job because he wouldn't want me giving him a bad name with the family - and name and appearances are very important in my DH's family! I'm really happy with what he did. Not to mention that he sang me to sleep - and I got the family discount!
