Time taken to go back to work, with overs or unders

Just trying to work out how much recovery time I need to book off...
Am hoping to get overs, but haven't decided for definite yet.
Thanks x

It all varies SO much. Better to take it easy than be sorry though so as much time as you can possibly take it probably best. I'd give it at least a week but it depends on the type of work you do and how you get there, etc. After a few weeks you typically feel a lot more normal but those first few can be a bit tender.

Even though I didn't need to take time off (I only work very part time and I do that from home) I was the vote for "I had overs and had longer than 2 weeks off" because I had complications, one right after another, which kept resetting the healing clock. I was rather bad shape for almost 2 months. It was a friggin nightmare but my case is very very unusual. (I had two massive hematomas. one at 11 days post-op, one 21 days after that because the first one was not sorted out properly)
However, this is one reason I was happy with aftercare of Transform. Those two emergency surgeries and overnight stays were completely covered. I didn't pay a penny. And now, because of those stupid hematomas, I need a re-do because of the pocket damage it created and that too is covered.

Anyway, my story is not typical but plan for the worst, hope for the best.

I took a lot of time off so I didn't vote b/c I could have worked earlier (the time off was a reward for something). I had unders and feel I could have returned to work about 5-7 days after with no problem. If you have a physical job though that prob. wouldn't work. Like Xiola said though it's really hard to predict b/c though a complication is unlikely we all still react differently to the recovery process. I wish you luck.

If you get overs you I don't think you will need more than 1 week. I got unders and I was back to work on day 5. It also depends on what kind of job and how fast you've healed in the past, ex: I had a c-section and I was picking up my baby on day 3 without any pain. I took 1 week off but went back 1 day early and felt fine. Good luck!

LOL. getting overs doesn't mean it's a breeze either though. I'm not a complete wimp but found it rather painful. No doubt unders are worse but sometimes I get annoyed at the implication that overs are somehow "easy".

Everyone is different though so be sure you've got plenty of 'just in case' time.

Well, mine's unders but my recovery was a piece of cake. Although some minor Post OP discomforts, I was OK working in the office 1 week post

It really depends on what kind of work you do. I had my first ba on a friday and could've gone back to work (office job) on monday without a problem. A friend of mine works for the California Dept. of Transportation, and she has a physical job, and she went back at 5 days post-op. She took a doctor's note saying that she was to be on light duty for 4 or 6 weeks.

Fauho is on a distinguished road
I have unders and voted 1 week, but I feel I should explain!
I had them on a Monday- late evening (around 8pm) went home tuesday morning.
I was back at work the following Tuesday (due toa Bank Holiday Monday- I'm in the UK).
Usually my job is quite manual (lifting clients, using equipment, and lots of driving) but that first week back I'd arranged a paperwork few days. I didn't go back to 'normal' work until the Thursday (including driving- I have a 10 year old hatchback with no Power Steering!).

If If I had an office job it would have been dandy- I felt ok in myself after about 5 days (cloudy head gone and constant thinking about boobs! lol) but its the arm thing....

Hope that helped!

I took 3,5 weeks off with overs, but I was a stripper so I needed to look 100% and be able to dance.

Well I voted the last but honestly its because I work at a school so I am off for the summer. I could've gone back to work at day 4 or 5 comfortably. HTH

I have overs and went back to work on day 3. I have a desk job and I was tired the first couple of days but it wasn't anything that I couldn't manage.
