I wasw a "1" for sure! Not an once of pain, which I am very surprised snce I was a AA and my PS was concerned about even the 300cc being a bit to much stretch on my skin. Thank the lord for having a blessed recovery-I fell very lucky.

I voted a 7 because my pain was pretty bad. I was on a schedule with my pain meds...2 every 4 hours..as soon as they wore off the pain would kick in and I couldn't do anything but cry
...the meds worked fast though and I would feel better. My pain came mostly from nerves...they were nearly debilitating for the first week...sharp pains and all...ouch! I didn't have any type of surface pain, like incision pain or whatever..I was pretty much numb so couldn't feel it. Everyone is different though, obviously! hehe..glad others weren't in as much pain as I was...lol

Phew! I'm so happy for those of you who voted rather low on the pain scale. It seems that many of you were so fortunate. I rated my pain level at an 8. For some reason, I have had a terrible recovery, struggling between nearly intolerable pain and persistent vomiting. Somehow I made it to my post-op today and got a shot for my nausea and pain, but I can still hardly get out of bed by myself and sleep only a couple hours at a time because of the pain. I get the feeling it'll feel better in the next few days. I just wish it wasn't this bad to begin with. I was starting to regret it, to be honest. Good luck to those of you who ache like I do and feel tempted to rip them out yourself. Hang in there.

[quote=Rebecca8669;367305]I voted "2" because I didn't really have pain. I felt pressure, like when you get engorged for breastfeeding, but no real "pain."
[\QUOTE] Ditto!! The nausea was icky. THANK GOODNESS FOR ZOFRAN ODT!! It's a anti-nausea pill that disolves INSTANTLY on you tongue. Very nice! Who wants to take a pill when you are barfing.

Oh no! It all depends on so many factors. My best friend had a REALLY tough time too. She is TOUGH. I think it is all the 'luck of the draw!' I'm grateful mine was easy.

Well I just had my BA. I would say my pain was a 2. I am in hardly any pain. I feel some pressure (gets less every day) and a slight "sunburned" feeling on my chest (only for first 2 days). I had to stop my pain meds on the day after surgery since I had a bad reaction to it (Percocet). Thankfully I had no real pain just some pressure. Extra Strength Tylonal has been working for me.

For the first three days, I was moderate. Nothing really bothersome, but definitely needed some medication. Day 4 I was in the bathroom sick all night (from laxatives I had to take), so the constant getting up/down for hours on end made me really sore and pushed my progress back a bit. Without that incident, the recovery would have been really quite simple!

I voted a 3. I really didn't have any pain but I have 600ccs so I had alot of pressure. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I never had any nausea and it was a very easy recovery. I went back to work on day 3 and was tired at the end of the day but nothing that I couldn't manage.

All these 2s and 3s are reassuring! I have mine on Monday and hopefully I will be posting a low score too.

I said 8 - HOWEVER - i got the flu RIGHT after my BA (sick as a dog with 103 fever - totally freaked out my PS, he was on the phone with hubby every two hours, did urine, bloodwork, everything to determine what was going on - turned out just to be the STUPID flu)
Because of the flu - I couldn't tolerate my pain meds so I hurt like H*LL for the first 4 days, thought I was gonna die. It was definitely more about the flu than the BA! So, with all things aside I think my pain probably would've been more like a 4-5! |

I gave it a 3. I'd rather have the BA pain than a headache. I was just sore in my chest, about like if you strained yourself working out. Just don't use your chest muscles. I think the worst pain was the first night when contracted my chest muscles during a thunderstorm (the lighting scared me lol!)
I'd probably give it a 2 but the tylox I was on made me nauseous on day 2 and i threw up, so i switched to extra strength Tylenol. |

I put '2'... I had a BA and rhinoplasty, the only thing I felt was the pressure and tightness of the BA. Not too bad. Also some pain when my drains were tugged a bit, accidently.I kept waiting for some pain to strike suddenly, and I would think "I should've taken more pain meds when they asked!" But it never happened. I didn't feel any pain from the rhinoplasty at all! And I think I am the only one on the board who had no trouble sleeping in the sitting position. I don't know what to attribute this to, but I'm glad I've been lucky so far!

I voted a 7 for the first 2 days. I *needed* my Percocet (2 tabs q4h). When the doctor called the evening after my BA, my friend told him I was in a lot of pain so he had me take 1 tab every 2 hours while awake and then 2 tabs every 4 hours at night. That helped a lot. But damn.... it was painful. Eek.
