I said 3, because I had very little pain. I was uncomfortable and achy, but nothing bad. I was very pleasantly surprised with my recovery!!!

I voted "2" because I didn't really have pain. I felt pressure, like when you get engorged for breastfeeding, but no real "pain."

I was very lucky, looking at the number "7"s posted!

I voted moderate because I had a lot of pain immediately after I got home but once I got through that (nausea/vomiting alleviated by med and about an hour of pain until pain med kicked in) i'd say it was pretty low from then on. I was careful to stay on schedule with my pain meds the first couple days though- esp. at night so I could be sure to get good sleep. My PS told me at 1 day post op that my skin was very thick and tight so that may have affected my initial discomfort. If you're prone to nausea definitely tell your docs and get something for it.

I picked a 2. I have to say my recovery was soooo easy. The worst i had it was it just felt like i did a lot of pushups and my chest muscles were sore. Other than my back pain from having to sleep on my back upright i didn't have any really.

I also said "2". There was some discomfort but not actually pain. I also went back to work on day six, felt tired but other than that I felt fine.

I voted 3. I had very little pain. I had discomfort and soreness, but not outright PAIN. I'm sure the Demerol made some difference with that, lol.

discomfort

I think the discomfort factor is a bigger issue than the pain. Sure, you're sore, there's pain, but the inconvenience factor of your discomfort is huge! Hard to sit, hard to sleep, hard to get up and get down, etc. Patience are huge! It just takes time!

* 2 *

I wasn't really in pain. I was more uncomfortable than in pain...and it was my back that hurt from the sleeping position. I expected to be dying in pain since it was a surgery but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt like I thought it would. It was just a "pain" in the butt how slow I had to move and stuff and only when I moved too fast or lifted my arms when I shouldn't have. That's when I would feel pain for like a quick second...

Getting my wisdom teeth pulled and recovery hurt a million times worse. I could not believe it, but hey, no complaints here hehe

I voted 2. I had some uncomfortable times, but other than immediately after surgery, I didn't take any pain medication with either of my augmentations. My PS gave me the Rx, but I really didn't need it. The day after my redo, I was at home with my 4 year old twins alone. Granted they are pretty self sufficient, but, I still made them breakfast and lunch, as well as looked after them (from the recliner) all day.

I woulda voted for 1 if it were a choice, but I settled for 2. I felt only tightness, like milk engorgement. The tightness lasted about 3-4 days, then after that there was no discomfort at all. Other than not being able to raise my arms above my head all the way -- which lasted about 10 days -- I felt totally fine, boobs-wise.

Now, my tummy tuck? Totally different ballgame! OUCH!!!

I voted 6 because the initial pain meds I was prescribed didn't do much for me (well, they caused stomach cramps but that was about it). It went down to about 2-3 with the right pain medication though.

i voted extreme b/c i had a horrible recovery. i was in tears DAY 2-3 and i couldn't bear to even move. by DAY 4 it started to get a little better but still wasn't able to prop myself up. BF was a huge help the first 2 weeks. i didn't start driving until after 2 wks and for the 1st wk it was still painful (mainly my left arm and the seatbelt rubbing against my sore/tender breasts).

I'm a 2 also. I never had any pain, it was all tightness and pressure. For me I think the tummy tuck took away from any and all pain there may have been associated with my BA.
