I haven't had my surgery yet, but my PS recommended peri-areolar.

I opted for peri areola incision because I had previous scars in both nipples from removal of benign lumps. So I wanted to utilize the nipple scars I already had. I'm 6 wks post op; it's just a thin white line that blends with the color of my nipple.

450/425 Periareola (spelling)
PS only does TUBA or Periareola
8 days post op, so not sure about the scar. However, I have had very little pain at the inicision spot.

Tuba

I see no transumbilical (tuba) option here

added: oops, now I see, the question was for silicon implants

I had crease incision,

my PS recomended this for a few reasons i think, is the easiest way to do a breast augmentation, gives best access during surgery & also gives one of the best results after(scars) if your concerned about scars on your nipples ( nipple incision )
which I WAS!

im about 10mths out now & my scars sit PERFECTLY with the shape of my boobs & are in the right crease area for where my boobies 'dropped'

overall im happy with this choice, I just could face scars on my nips & I can even see my scars cos of the size of my knockers now! only when I look in the mirror & lean right back!

inframmary was pretty much the only option I was given. I'm completely fine with that though, I'd rather them not get too close to my nipples with a scalpel!

I chose crease because for 2 seperate reasons, my ps mentioned that you can mess with the overall form of the breast when you cut through the ductal system of th nipple, and secondly my nipples are very sensitive and I was so afraid of losing sensation in them. My PS wouldve done either and I like the minimal scarring with the areolar approach but I was a chicken about losing the sensation.

My PS took my measurements, and told me that I was a candidate for any incision site I wanted. I thought I couldn't get silicone through the armpit, but he said I could! It's a larger scar than if you're getting saline through the armpit, but I wanted silicone, and I didn't want any scars on my breasts. The nurse said she prefers the transax incision best, too. My scars were red for a while, but now they aren't really noticeable unless you're looking for them. They kinda just look like a crease in my armpit. Who looks at other peopl'es armpits anyway? They're not uncomfortable, and I have no problems with shaving.

I DO tend to think that you're in more pain afterward, though. Because it goes up under all that muscle between your armpit and chest. Ugh. In addition to my chest hurting, I couldn't properly lift my arms for a couple of weeks.

My ps did mine thru the crease incision which im happy with because i don want to interfere with my nipples and ductwork because id like to have another baby and breastfeed it.

I got 600cc cohesive silicone gel, inframammary incision. I don't think they would have fit any other way lol!

I got peri areolar incision - it's what I wanted due to less visible scaring - breastfeeding didn't matter as I didn't plan on having more children, loss of sensation was a concern but needn't have been.

Add me to the peri-areolar incision group. It's what my ps recommended. I'm 6 weeks postop and my one incision has disappeared (I can't see it), the other one is hardly noticeable. Also, nipple sensitivity is back in one nipple and other will hopefully return. (please!!!).

I haven't had surgery yet but I am going for the crease. My docter recommended it, and its what I wanted. The nipple freaks me out a little and my doc said she would have to cut thru more tissue to do it.

I went with a crease, my PS told me that b/c I had enough breast tissue it would cover it for the part. It's pretty small so I don't mind it.
