General made me sick...
I threw up 3 times after joint procedures. However, I don't think general could have been avoided w/ BA & FTT.

I'm a physician/medical procedure phobia, I don't think I could've done it if that was Twilight...

I had general thank God ~ I prefer to get knocked out so that I don't see what's going on and imagining what's being cut as they do it ~ i'd puke on myself lol ~ I do get a little scared about going under and not waking up, but would totally pick general over twilight any day

Definately had to go under completely for me... the idea of seeing, smelling or hearing anything at all freaks me out. Plus, I got to take a nice little nap and woke up with boobies!

I had general but wish I'd insisted on twilight. I was so sick 1 day post op vomiting and naseous even though I was taking anti nasea meds which also happened after I had my tonsils out. I've had twilight once and much prefer it

I had neither but since there wasn't another option, I picked twilight.
I had mine done under a local with 5mg valium before hand and a small dose of fentanyl to loosen me up right before the point where the doc created the "pockets". There was absolutely no pain at all but there were definitely some bizarre sensations going on. I think the trick was to keep my eyes closed the entire time so that I couldn't actually see what was coming next. |

I had local with twilight sedation and I think I would always prefer that over general. I wasn't awake either through the whole thing so it was nice. I didn't hear anything or see anything. I remember talking to the RN about the IV, looking at the lights above me and then waking up in the recovery room.

Conscious sedation
I had conscious sedation and I'm so glad I did!
I received some midazolam and fentanyl right after they started they IV. I was then put on a propofol drip with addition of some ketamine. I was out like a light. Didn't hear or feel anything, slept like a baby. Next thing I remembered after having all the monitors placed and IV started was waking up in recovery room. I didn't even remember walking to the recovery room even though they told me I did lol CS with local beats general anesthesia any day. I was out of the recovery room and on my way home in 45min. No nausea whatsoever. Just felt a little sleepy which I didn't mind at all

I've had both twilight and general with ba surgeries. I like them both. One isn't better than the other imo. I don't really have a preference.
