![]() | Myth or Fact
Do you, or do you not, lose size (10-15% volume) when going under-muscle placement versus the way the implant sizer looked in your sports bra when you tried it on in the surgeon's office? If yes, why? If no, why? Any personal experiences people have to share I would love to hear them. Also anything with regards to overs vs unders is welcome. So, what are your thoughts?

I might be out of line here and perhaps I'm way off, but I do believe in both..lol. Let me explain. IMO you loose a certain amount when going under the muscle due to the muscles not being use to is, foreign object etc..BUT my other view is, that as soon as the muscle start relaxing, accommodating the implant you 'gain' (if that is the right word) that percentage back. All in all via d&f... I might be totally off the board here...and would appreciate other ladies views as well. |

Personally, I do not believe you lose volume. At first, sure, because the muscle is not stretched out and is compressing the implant. Once the muscle finally relaxes (takes varied amounts of time for diff. people) you should be the size of the implant, plus your breast tissue, plus your muscle. So I guess I am saying the same thing that BushBaby said. I think I am at least the size of the sizers I tried on, if not bigger. Slinky |

I know right now I am smaller than i was with the sizers on. Which is what i went with! BUT I have tons of dropping and Fluffing to do! So hopefully within a few more weeks that will happen and I will get that size i loved so much! AND shape |

I am not smaller after surgery than I was when I tried on the sizers. I have 400cc and I do not believe I lost any size or 40cc..for a small person like me 40cc loss would be very noticeable.

![]() | Hey, I put "no you don't lose any" but thats only from myself and the changes etc i've noticed on myself, I asked my ps if I should go up 25cc - 30cc more cause of loss of size when going under the muscle ann he assured me no I won't lose any size, and he's spot on I tried on 300cc sizers and made my rice sizers too and I'm just over one month now and my boobs have just started to pop out more my c cup is fitting snugly, I can see my muscles have relaxed heaps and Im the same size in tops if not bit bigger, as I was with both sizers. just wanted to share my opinion and what Ive noticed on myself. ;0) xox

![]() | I honestly believe you do lose volume. With my rice sizers I looked alot larger and now that I have had them over two months, I believe they do look smaller. I still love them but when I replace them I am going with more cc's.

I think that you would lose volume when going completely under the muscle. I prefer this way, in my opinion it has less risk factors.
