![]() | Muscle Deformity with Unders
I'm looking to get unders and I lift regularly. I'm wondering how common muscle deformity is and if there's anything I could do to avoid this.

I don't know. My ps, trainer, and everyone seems to not know if it's just how I am built or lack of tissue. I am a massage therapist and since going under my R peck is very defined on the cleavage side when I flex, not the L. Very different than over. When I flex, it looks like a block wall. IDK, good poll just not sure how to answer.

I discussed this in much detail with my ps including the chest exercises I normally do. I had planned on overs simply because I love push ups and lifting. I wasn't so concerned about the deformity but of the implants being pushed to the side until they became under the arm boobs. He left it up to me but recommended unders due to my lack of body fat. I promised not to work the chest until 12 weeks post op. I am back to doing a ton of push ups with no deformity. |

I voted for Not really, and I use them for heavy lifting (lots of full push-ups). I used to do a lot of chest exercises pre breast augmentation. My PS didn't stop me chest-training with heavy weights post OP but I kinda stopped regularly training chest ever since as it doesn't feel quite the same with implants, kwim? My current mission is for training overall upper-body strength. I've bought Perfect push-ups and do push-ups than weight-lifting for training chest these days. No problem so far.

I'm an avid weight-lifter! I don't go heavy, but I am toned and muscled for the size of my frame. My PS and I discussed muscle deformity/the effect of working out on unders breast augmentation. Essentially, he said that: 1) during the actual time of the muscle contraction, there could be deformity (depends on how much the muscle contracts) 2) having an implant migrate to the side (AKA armpit boob) could happen but was extremely rare, being usually associated with a) over massaging or b) lifting very, very heavy. I plan to start back with very light weights after my breast augmentation when I can do so without pain. I don't plan to push any real weight for about 3 months. |

I know it's a bit late, but sorry for my poll mistake. Not really, but I use them for heavy lifting (lots of full push-ups) should also have a Yes version. Oops!

I have a slight amount on the left, which my ps has said she will "release" through an outpatient procedure. Just a small piece of muscle that should have been cut. I can see the deformity when ever I strongly flex my pec. I really should get this done. Just haven't made the appt. It doesn't bother me.

I have it when I flex and my PS said that's just part of having unders and that I shouldn't worry about it. I've decided not to do any specific pec exercises anymore just to see if it'll help. I'm hoping it'll get better.
