How long from "I want" to "I have!"

How long between the time when you decided for sure that you wanted breast implants and the time when you were able to actually get them? What were your reasons for the wait? Finish having children? Save money? Anxiety? Or was it as simple as the amount of time it took to go to consultations and select a PS?

I waited 1-2 years. DH and I decided to get pregnant first and then I wanted to wait until he was older then 6months. I was a spas about being with him 24/7 before that. LOL

I voted 1 - 2 years. I decided I wanted breast implants sometime in 2007, I would say mid-year. My husband was scheduled to deploy to Iraq in October of 2007, so my plan was to get them a few months later so they'd be ready for him when he got back in October of 2008

BUT...I got pregnant in December of 2007 so my plans were put on hold. I had my son in September 2008 and breastfed for the first 4 months. As soon as I completely weaned (Feb 1) I scheduled consultations and had my breast augmentation within 7 weeks!! I was determined!! lol

Less than six months. I teetered about it until my DH got back from Iraq then it was a HELL YES I need new boobs. I breastfed my son and it shriveled up one boob and kept one big and floppy.

Hehe..yeah my boobs were small but at least full before pregnancy and BF'ing. Afterwards they were like sacks of loose skin...GROSS! haha.

I was the same way! You must've had your son around the same time I had mine. My son was 6.5 months old! I had him on September 2.

I picked less than six months. From the time I actually firmly decided I wanted it, it was less than six months. I had been going back and forth sense high school but finally said I'm doing it. Part of it was just having the money to. I was deployed to Iraq so my hubby and I were able to save the money for it. Plus I would be able to take three weeks off work. I could have had it all done in less than three, but I set my surgery date a little later to make sure it was what I wanted.

It was the money & me thinking it would be bad for my health. After seeing my mom with hers for now 6 years. She looks great and nothing has ever happened to her. So I finally decided that now was the time.

I have been wanting this for over 2 years...I didnt get them b/c my ex husband was a meanie...didnt want me to get them. Now that i am fully away from him....my bf decided to pay for them for me as an i love you gift =)

I have wanted one since I was probably 18 and i figured out I was probably not going to develop at all. I had a consult with a PS when I was 19 and they told me I needed a lift too (which made no sense since I was flat). They quoted me almost $8000 which was way too much for me. I finally got mine (mind you without a lift which was not necesarry) 5 days ago and I am 28.......so more than 10 years.

11 years of toying with the idea...then once I went for the consult I couldn't get them soon enough!!! It was about 2 months in total.

I've waited forever! I realised I was going to be lets say.... petite when I was 17 years old. I could't afford a breast augmentation for years, then I had three children and breastfed for six years straight. I've finally saved up enough money, my guy is super supportive and my breast augmentation is on Monday. (I'm really nervous about it though)

I'll be honest, I knew I wanted them when I was like 4. By the time I was 14 I was like eff this late bloomer thing, I aint gettin em, and I like the look of fake ones better. I'll definitely do that. by 18 i was savin my pennies and hoping for a big tax return. cost was the only thing holding me back from the time I turned 18 and could do it.

I waited to finish having children first. Then it was just a matter of finding a PS that I got the warm and fuzzy from. I didn't find that until we moved and then I found the perfect doc. Soooo glad I was patient.

Same here- waited forever and then once I went in to the PS and liked him, I was getting boobs in about a month. LOL

Less than 6 months for me. I'd been thinking about it off and on for about 10 years, but had never gone to a consult or anything. Finally, this year I just realized that if I don't do it now (I'm 40 years old) I'll probably never do it! I keep myself in good physical condition, but no matter how much I worked out, my boobs were still small, deflated, and sad. I wanted to finally have the body I had always wanted, and now I'm on my way!!

3-4 years for me!

3 years ago I started going on consultations. I went on 3 and narrowed it down to the PS thats doing my breast augmentation in May. i didnt get it done 3 years ago because I told too many people including my sister who told my Grandmom. My Grandmom was not too happy. Well this time I didnt tell many people at all. I didnt even tell my sister!

I've wanted mine since high school when I realized my boobs never fully reached the end of that puberty chart that all girls were supposed to reach. I knew for sure I would get it done once I graduated high school. Since December, I realized I could finally afford it and I set up a consultation. I'm hoping to set my breast augmentation date for June.
