![]() | Nipple Sensation poll
I was wondering after your breast augmentation how your nipple sensation changed? If you had 1) more sensation 2) less sensation 3) same amount of sensation 4) none/lost all sensation And FYI that was supposed to be "your" in the poll question not "our". Tried to correct it, can't. lol |

Well I had an interesting situation. After my first breast augmentation I lost about 95% of my nipple sensation. I could twist my nipple 360 degrees before they would hurt. It was like that for 6 years and I got to the point that I didn't even care. But my b/f could play with them and I couldn't feel it, so that was kind of annoying, but I got over it. After my revision surgery recently I have regained sensation back in both nipples after 6 years!!! I didn't think it was possible but it happened! |

I voted for stay the same...I don't think my sensation has decreased or increased...I was a little worried about that when he said he was going to go through the areola...

Strange...but with my 1st breast augmentation in 2000, I lost a lot of sensation. After my redo in Dec. 08, now they are extremely sensitive and almost painful sometimes if my BF gets a little too rough with them. Both breast augmentation's were through the areola. Hmmmmmm. |

I voted 'the same'. But it's not entirely true. Post breast augmentation for 2/3 weeks my nipples were continually turned on and highly sensitive. They tamed down thank f**k! I did also loose sensation in the bottom half of my right nipple and at 6 months I'm now only started to regain sensation. Nipple sensitivity is awful. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to it again when I have (or if I have) my redo. Hopefully second time isn't too bad! |

I am 5 months post op and my nips are numb. every now and again I can feel the slightest touch, but other than that, I have lost all sensitivity. It doesn't worry me a huge amount. But I would like to recover some feeling.

I voted stayed the same. I was really worried about losing sensation. So far they are the same. When I get cold they "light up". I really haven't had any sexual stimulation to them cuz Im really protective of them, but when I touch them I feel it. No numb spots at all on my breast or nips! Thank Goodness!! |

i have more sensation in them, but it's not a good sensation. they almost feel really tender to touch and i'm hoping that they're still recovering but i had the crease incision so i put lotion on my boobs to help with the stretching and i cannot stand to touch my nipples. i really hope that this is part of the healing process and eventually it'll go back to normal but i can't even touch them right now. and i feel bad because i have these new boobs and i can't handle my husband touching them right now.

Mine were always really sensitive in a good way and it was one of my biggest concerns to lose it. I actually got more positive sensation and it's one of my biggest concerns again about my redo!

I'm going to have to show DH this poll. This is the one reservation he has about me getting breast augmentation. My nipples are really sensitive (in a good way) and he's worried I may lose that. There's always the chance, but I plan to go with a crease incision. I would think that would decrease the risk of losing sensation.

My left one is a little numb, and small parts of my left breats are a little numb as well. The right is about the same. Sometimes I think it's a little more sensitive than before, but maybe not.
