How often did you see your PS Post-Op?

I am seeing him more b/c I have some contracture in my right breast. I also had a hematoma in that breast and a drain which accounted for another one of the post ops.

I live 2 hrs away from my PS so he tries to not make me drive there all the time if it can be avoided.

I know that my mom and sister did not see their PS as often following their breast augmentation's.

I was wondering this same thing. He did ask me if I lived in the area before he said to come back in 6 months. Probably because he didn't want me to have to drive 5 hours (round trip) for another 15 minute appointment. I wonder if I lived there if he would have had me come in a lot more...I should have asked.

It was different all 3 times. 1st time was about 6 times , second 4 and i am traveling this time so this may be the only one unless i have a problem. So, i guess all PS are different..

2- day 4 drain and stitch removal
3- 2 weeks post op???
4- 6 weeks post op??
5- 3 month post op??
every 6 months from then on.
The ?? mean I am not exactly sure the nature of the visit, other than to just make sure things are healing, and we are not feeling any CC. I am pretty sure he wants to see me MORE this time, so we can "catch" the CC sooner. (and of course fingers/toes and everything crossed that I stay cc free)

Well, I saw my surgeon a total of 12 times from consult to release. BUT, I had complications. I think he said (at my consult) that he would see me:

1 day post-op
3 weeks
6 weeks
3 months
6 months
1 year

I got to see him lots more that than! But, he is so hot, I didn't mind. LMAO!

I supposed to email him my progress pix but forgot to do that

Been almost 6 years since then but so far so good, I've no problem at all.

When I had cc, it seemed like I was at his office all the time. When I had my redo, I saw him the week after, then again at 6 weeks after. My first redo was actually my third surgery, so I was an old pro by that point, lol. I haven't seen my ps since I had my last redo in June. I never went back for my post-op, though I have sent pics, emails, etc.

i saw my consultant the morning after surgery, 10 days after surgery, my next appointment is in 6 weeks then thats me!

my stitches were disolvable so i didnt have to get any out

I'm only 6 days post op and already 2, tomorrow will be 3. I believe the every 2 day thing is until the drain comes out, then it moves to one week appts and then after that 3 months, then 6 months, then annually. My mom had her redo over a year ago and she is still having 6 month appts though so I dunno. He really sees his work through

My original was in August 2007 and I've seen him probably 8-10 times since, but I had complications. My friend had hers the same day as me (the original in August) and hasn't had any complications (Yes, I'm SOOO jealous!!). She saw him at 1 wk., 1mo., and 3mos. Then, she was told she doesn't have to come back unless she feels she needs to.

I'm sure your PS would probably have to see you for your first po appt., which I think is generally around 1 wk po, but maybe he/she would let you email pics for your other appts.?..just take really good pics i.e. lots of different angles and good incision pics---Just a thought.
