I checked to see if this question was asked and I couldn't find a thread so I thought I would start this poll.
I live approx 4.5 to 5 hours (each wy I might add) away from my PS. So in order to see him for my Post-Op follow up appointments after my BA & Lipo will be by doing the following each time: 1) Driving 30 minutes to ferry. 2) Ride that ferry for 55 minutes 3) Drive another 2 hours to the next ferry 4) Then I drive approx 45 minutes more to finally arrive at my PS's office. I live in a small town on the coastline of Canada and the only way to my PS from where I live is by travelling this route. Plus I have no choice as this is the closest PS I could find. |

it wasent really my intention to be the first to reply to this thread because i feel my PS didnt really see me as much as he should have. from what i've been reading here, usually the girls get more PS visits than i did. but anyways.
i saw my PS i week post op when he removed my sticky bandages and took out the stitches. as far as he was concerned, his work was done and it was up to me to follow his instructions and "heal". thankfully i didnt have any complications but i did have rippling in my lefty, so i made another appointment when i was 6 months post op just to reassure myself. he saw me and said my boobs were perfect [ahem!] and that from now on i should not expect any other changes. in all fairness i have to add that he was right in all aspects, and that i had his cell fone and home phone number which i could call anytime. besides, he lived and practiced about 30 mins away from where i lived at the time, so perhaps that was a contributing factor. |

I saw my PS 1 week post op and have an appt for 3 wks. I think we also do 3 mos and 6 mos, and then once a year thereafter if I still live in the area. The first few are the most essential, I'd think after that as long as you're comfortable you don't need to go.

I will find out soon enough I guess. For any of my PS appt's I will need to book the full day off as it will take me that long just to get there, have the appt and then get back to where I live. As far as I'm concerned the travelling will be well worth it for the bigger boobs.
I'll just cross my fingers that I don't have any complications.

I chose 4-6 but I still have more coming. I believe my PS likes to follow up for about 5 years (though just annually after the first year). You should definitely ask your PS this before hand. They're all so very different.
And honestly, since everything has gone so well.... I don't NEED to see him anymore. I think he just wants to keep an eye on how things progress. |

I only had 1 post-op with the PS. I got my stitches removed by a nurse and will be getting the final inspection done by a nurse at approximately 6 months. If there's anything unclear about them then I will see my PS again but I'm hoping I won't have to!

I saw him:
next day one week later one more week later one more week later 2 weeks later 2 weeks later 1 month later 1 month later 1.5 months later (last saturday) and my next visit is now scheduled for within 2 months from the last I must say my Left one was slower to drop and had a different shape (already preBA) so maybe he wanted to make extra sure all was going well.. But the first few visits he would put tape on me under breasts so they'd fall to the same level and in the way he wanted.. I think my ps was extremely good with the follow up and I'm very happy about that that being said, they're all different and to me it wasn't so much of a hassle (35mn drive each way)

1 week
3 weeks 6 weeks 3 months 6 months 9 months 1 year I can come in whenever if I need to... and I did at 5 weeks. He didn't charge me any more. So 7 to 9 is what I voted. |
