I am only a couple of days in but my ps put me in a sports bra anfter surgery and wrapped me in an ace bandage. So strap so far. He did mention massaging at my consult but has not told me to do that so far. Maybe monday when I have my post of. I am kinda scared of massaging it seems like it would hurt.

i started massaging 1 week post op, and have been told to continue forever!

at first, it was 3x/day, then went down to twice, now once...
although I must admit it does not bother me, i am constantly touching them.. hehe
I really just kinda move them around a bit every day under the shower or at night before I go to bed..

I went home the first day with the strap (as well as the being wrapped in an ace bandage), and was told to begin massaging my second day after my tubes and ace bandage were removed.

I didn't have to massage and I never had. But I did have to wear the strap 24/7 for 2 weeks.

I am massaging 5 times a day and wearing the strap 24/7. My ps told me to keep the sports bra and strap on 24/7 for another month. I had my 2nd post op yesterday and he says I'm dropping but for best results wear the strap. I KWIM about being uncomfortable and what about trying to conceal the strap. I don't know about you but I don't have many shirts that cover up to my neck. LOL! I had to buy some button up shirts and button them all the way up. I look like a dork but it hides the strap.

Does anyone still have the link to the video that was mentioned in this thread? At my consult, my PS said he doesn't really think massaging makes a huge difference but at my 1 week he kind of pushed them around and said I could start massaging if I wanted and he would show me more at my 3 week. I was kind of out of it at my 1 week and more excited about getting my bandage off from rhinoplasty so I'm not sure exactly what the technique is.

I voted neither b/c I wasn't really advised to "massage" though he did tell me to move them around and press them together early on b/c they were still pretty tight at 1 mo. By 3 mo. they were loosened up and soft.

I started massage at 2 weeks, never wore a strap! My girls started to drop & fluff around my 3rd week!! My leftie is sitting a little higher but at week 4 my PS said I won't drop too much more just fluff!
