![]() | Did you experience the "boobie blues" ?
Just curious as to how many ladies out there have experience the post breast augmentation, boobie blues? I am going through it really bad, but I must say that since joining the forum and talking to others it is really helping! edited - I kept the poll simple to try and get a good statistic(yes/no). Please feel free to add any advice/stories you may want to share.

I had it really bad for about a month! It was so weird. I didn't feel like doing anything except sleeping and moping around. I didn't want to shower, go out, eat. And the odd thing was, it seemed like I would be like that forever and then slowly it just went away. One day I got up and showered and went on with my life feeling fine.

![]() | I don't think I necessarily experienced *boobie blues* but I did have an emotional breakdown 3 days post op; it was basically due to my medications though, I was crazy..lol |

I got boobie blues in the first few weeks. It still comes and goes as I go through all the phases of post surgery.

I had the 3rd day breakdown as well, but I related it to the meds, which I promptly stopped on day 4! Sometimes I do feel kind of "let down" after all the hype of getting new boobies, and now at 4 months, they aren't such a big deal....I still love them though!!! |

oh ya, major blues for the first few weeks. I couldn't tell my mom about the breast augmentation so my brother from out of town stayed with me for a month. My mom would have babied and taken great care of me. My brother tried but let's face it he is a guy. But, still greatful he was there. At times he wasn't very sympathetic to my discomfort. I was wishing my BF would be there to help me. Just felt really alone. So ... for breast augmentation#2 my BF will definitely be there to hold my hand, to bath me and feed me ... lol

i did in a way, but mine was more from not being able to do anything and being in the house all the time on my own, as my OH had to work. I am going to a work conference today (rude as I am still on holidays) but I think it will do me good to get out of the house etc. I think I will feel a lot better once my strapping comes off, which is tonight. Just worried its going to hurt!

![]() | Very surprisingly, no, I didn't.
I am 2.5 weeks out, and I have had no trouble thus far. I FULLY expected to have the blues as I have read about them on this site, my ps gave me info about it in the info packet, and I have depression anyway. But, no, I didn't. I was bummed a couple days ago when the swelling went down (boobie greed), but that's it so far. HOWEVER, I am on an antidepressant and have been on a small dosage for 10 years. This very well may have been my lifesaver.

I voted no. I have not had the boobie blues at all. I did have a moment about the 5th day after my surgery where I just wanted to feel better. I was tired of being in pain. I never thought twice about having the surgey though. No regrets. |

Thank you for posting this! I am really concerned about booby blues as I had PPD really bad after the birth of my son about 13 months ago and I still have anxiety issues and I have my days/weeks still where I feel depressed and crappy. Hopefully the booby blues pass me by. It should help since Thanksgiving is 4 weeks after my surgery... hopefully the excitement of the holidays will keep me up!

I am 8 days post op. Feeling a little blue off and on for a few days now. Today so far is the worst. My Hubby returned to work, and I am left with a 2 year old that I cant pick up, and barely hold for a snuggle. I feel like a bad Mommy, and feeling like he thinks I am ignoring him because we cant snuggle etc. All in all still happy with my decision to have a breast augmentation, just waiting to feel back to normal.

Maybe it was the pain meds, maybe the fact that my tits looked horrible for the first 2 months, (more likely) but yes... I was an emotional wreck during that time.

Yes, I totally experienced this. I had read about it here on this site & I thought that there was no way that would happen to me. Especially since I was so excited about the surgery. But I was really down during the first week. I was very swollen & worried that I made a big mistake. I spoke about my fears during the first week with a few girlfriends that have had breast augmentation's. They all experienced similar emotions and that helped me feel a lot better. I feel much stronger and more like myself now. The swelling has gone down and I'm starting to drop a little and my boobies look great!! I'm much happier about the breast augmentation now. But I have to admit, I'm already tired of the no lifting or no high impact exercise for six weeks thing. I wish I could resume my regular activities earlier.

I did have boobie blues. Had I not had a screwed up pocket I highly doubt I would have had boobie blues. I just had my revision and am still taking my pills and am so happy with the surgery. Had my results been like this with my initial breast augmentation I would have had a permanent smile.

I did for like 3 days maybe.. On my one week post op I was having major blues. Told the PS I wanted them out and all. I blame all the pain meds and the constipation. After all the meds were out of my system and I was back to my regular schedule I was and still am happy as can be.

The first 3-7 days I had them terrible. The 3rd day was absolutely worst! I am still having bad days but I have been having some issues so I'll blame it on the scar tissue that I'm having to have broken up by hand by my PS. |

YES, I had them bad. The first week was really bad. I still get them sometimes even now. I think it because I'm not happy with my boobs right now. I feel sorry for myself and sometimes I wish I never had done this.
