Boobies - Before or After Kids

Ive still got quite a bit of time before i plan on having kids and figure i'll be due for a re-do at the time i am done having kids anyways. I want to enjoy them while im young!

I wanted to wait until after kids...but hey, life is so short, I thought I would better enjoy my twenties and feel good about my body asap. But def going bigger after a kid!!

I had my children very young, so it really wasn't an option. My mom told me that women should wait until after they are done having children that way it doesn't interfere with breastfeeding or ruin your breast by becoming humongous during pregnancy and after. Part of why I'm getting them now is because my kids are 10 and 12 and we have decided not to have anymore. If we were going to have more I would wait.

If you are not going to have children for 5-10 years I would go for the breast augmentation, b/c by that time you may need to have them swapped out and a lift anyways! But if you're planning on having children within the next couple of years then I would wait. Make sure to tell your PS that you want to have children and if you plan on breastfeeding them maybe get a crease incision. Just a thought! Good Luck!

I'm 24 and dont plan on having kids for another 5years or so.... I wanna look hot now in my 20's and show off and have fun looking sexy while going clubbing. I would hate to get them older after i have kids and am a mother an will probably be more conservative.

I feel the same way, I'm 23 now, not engaged yet or planning to have kids for at least 4 years..i wanted to enjoy them now while i'm young. definitely don't have anything against waiting until after kids as well but like others have said when the time comes that i'll need a redo it will be after kids and well worth the money plus, you only live once! and bottom line i was too impatient to wait! hahah

before. i'm not even sure if i want to have kids or just adopt. for me to wait until i have made up my mind about it is ridiculous. i've been waiting for boobs since i was 14 and i'm not gonna drag it out much longer. i'm definitely getting mine by 2011, by age 22.

I got my breast augmentation before having kids. I have always had small boobs so I was tired of waiting & who knows when I will have kids. I just might have to get them redone after I am finished having kids but I think it will be time to upgrade by then. lol

My doctor highly recommended to wait until after I was done having children to get my breast augmentation done. I was looking in to having my breast augmentation done after I had my first child. He encouraged me to wait until I was done having children. So, that is what I did. Pretty much he told me it is a 50/50 chance that after having kids they will not look right and will have to be fixed because you never really know how your body will react before and after pregnancy.

This is a little scary as I am about to have my breast augmentation done shortly and know in the near future (2-3 years or so) that hubby and I will be having children..It really puts things into perspective.. Here's to hoping that all will go well.. I'd hate to have the boobies sag after weaning especially since we are considering having more than one child!

Didnt need the bolt ones before I had kids....had an awesome rack but loosing the rack was all worth it....I love my two sons, they have grown into awesome young men....who look after their mom....

I would wait until after. I had my daughter 2 years ago and my boobs got huge when I was pregnant. I went from a C to a DD and they got stretch marks all over them.Luckily they faded I got my breast augmentation 1 month ago and they filled out the sag really nice. If I had gotten my breast augmentation before i got pregnant they would probably look awful and covered in stretch marks...

Before having kids, I didn't feel the need to have one. I was always small (full A cup) but they were full and perky and proportionate. Of course I would have always liked to have bigger boobs but back then didn't want it badly enough to have surgery. On the other hand, after my first child, I felt I needed one badly but decided to wait till I was done having kids (had 2 close together). I went from 32A before kids to 34C while nursing, down to 32AA afterwards. IMO, I think you're planning on having kids within a about a year, you should wait to have a breast augmentation but if you're not planning on having kids for atleast 2 years or more then it's far out enough to get a breast augmentation and have enough time to enjoy them and get your money's worth.

I always thought I'd wait but after a break up, I realized that who knows when kids will happen...I say that if kids are not in someones immediate plans then go for it. I mean half the people on here (including me) go back for another breast augmentation within a few years anyway!

I got my implants after I had children.....although if I wanted them before I had children I would definately get them either way, having boobies is fantastic!!

I waited until I was definately done having babies before I got mine done.
I lost a lot of breast tissue with each pregnancy/breast feeding period.
I started off as a large B pre-babies and after my third I was a very small saggy A.

I had my breast augmentation in 2007 and married in April this year. My husband and I are now thinking of having babies and I must admit it does concern me what my boobs will be like during the pregnancy and after.

I wouldn't change the decision I made to have my boobs before. I have enjoyed having them for the last 2 years and wish I had them years ago. So personally I would go for it. It is the best decision I ever made.

I am thinking that if mine go saggy or horrible it will be a good excuse to have them done again and then I can go bigger (assuming I could save the money up that is).

Would be interested to hear whether other women on the forum had their breast augmentation before and what impact it had on their boobs.

I'm getting mine done before I have kids...if I ever do. I HATE nearly every kid I have ever met. Seriously, I've only met a few kids I acually liked. I know, I know...I'm an exquisite rarity: child-hating woman. lol

At the time of my breast augmentation I wasnt sure if I'd ever want to have kids so I didnt really think about it. Now Im 35 and I may never have kids because of my age and I still havent met Mr Right.
If I do have kids I suppose I will get a redo after kids.

i have had an A cup and would have until i had kids. my mum told me to wait until i had kids like she did (hers went from an A to a DD after 4 kids- and were very much intact after!) but i am more concerned with having boobs when im young and looking good now. also i figured that its about 7yrs until i think about having a family and by that stage i would be considering a redo or getting them replaced due to something else anyway so why put myself through another 7 years of absolute misery and just take advantage of what i can do NOW! =D dont regret a thing!
