Hello ladies,
I've been watching this forum everyday and really don't say much but I need help. My PS recommended that I not have a breast lift but also told me I had 3rd degree ptosis. I went with it and now I'm 2 1/2 months out and my rightie looks great but my leftie (was bigger and lower from start) looks horrible. Left is about an inch or so higher and my nipple is hanging off. I have a follow up in two days and I'm not sure if I should wait longer to see if it drops and corrects on it's on or if it's time to discuss pocket revision. I also noticed my left crease is much higher than the right. Could it just be that the left has not D&F yet. Even though it hasn't it's still bigger than the right. I look horrible. I know that it takes time but I'm thinking that it was a mistake to not get the lift from the begining. Please make recommendations. I'm so unhappy. My DH tells me not to worry but I feel even more uncomfortable naked infront of him now than I did with very flat pancake droopy dog ear breast before. Help please. ![]() Stats: Unders saline 350 filled to 375 in both. 34(not close to full B) before. Hoping for a full C. I would post picks or something but I have not figured that out yet. |

I really think you need to discuss your concerns openly with your PS at your next appt. See what he suggests. You are too early post-op to have a revision, so you may as well give it time and see if leftie improves or not. Maybe your PS was trying to save you from extra surgery (the lift) if possible. Hopefully, if you end up needing a lift, he'll do it at a very reduced rate. Go in to your appt with a list of your concerns. Listen to your PS but be prepared to be firm as to your expected outcome. Good luck.

Definately call your PS and tell him what's going on. Hopefully he can put your mind at ease. Just remember that there's no such thing as a dumb question. It's your body and right now you need answers.

Poor Thing. U have every right to be disappointed. It's time to be honest with ur PS about ur feelings. If it's as obvious as you say it is he will understand ur feelings and suggest a plan of action. If not, you will need to schedule a 2nd opinion. Give him a chance to address it.
There are other ladies here that have experienced complications and will be a wealth of information for you. I hope ur appt goes well.

Hey...I sent you a PM about pics.
I'm glad you have an appt coming up. But, so sorry you are dissatisfied... Do not be afraid to discuss any and all concerns with the PS. You are still in his/her care, so use it! Last edited by Ina; 05-24-2007 at 05:43 PM. Reason: - |

I thought I might need a lift based on another consult and really wanted it done all at the same time. Bigger boobies was a gift to myself for getting into nursing school. If I need a lift now depending on healing time I may have to wait at least a yr or two because of school. If you have to avoid heavy lifting I will be in big trouble trying to take care of patients. I'm pretty sure I will need the lift though. I should've followed my first thought. My PS had a very valid reason though or so I though from a non medical stand point.

I do enjoy that "new booby" feeling though...perkier, upper pole fullness; for me thought, that is what a good bra will be for. PM me if you want a link to my yahoo group with pics. |

I was also thinking I'd need a lift, but my PS said that just putting the implant in would lift mine. However my muscles were so tight that he was not able to quite fill up the all the skin
After surgery i was very depresed with the way they looked, but at one month out they are starting to drop and the nipple is moving up and they look better since they are much fuller, however eventually I will probably have to go bigger and also may have to have my nipples moved up just a bit by having a cresent moon of skin taken out above each one. Not a fan of this because i dont like the scars, so i may just wait and go bigger and live with them since me and DH will be the only ones that see how low they are. My PS is all over them letting me know what may have to be done at every Post Op. However since I am not very far out it is mostly a wait and see what happens after the muscles stretch and let go a bit. If you communicate with your PS and let him know it is bothering you will have a greater chance of getting a free or reduced redo. Dont be afraid to voice your concerns but I wouldnt try to place blame either. Let him know that you do not like the way they look, find out what he says about how they look. Talk over options with him, maybe get a second opinion down the road to see if he really blotched it. But at 2 1/2 months you have alot of changing left to do. |

I am having a similar problem as my left breast has not dropped and my right is so much larger, fuller and about 1/2 inch lower. I went to my ps this past Monday and he is going to go back in under a local in the office and that this will be an easy fix. He said for some reason my left breast got "stuck", but I do not have cc. Two weeks after I have this done I should be great. Of coarse I do not know if this is what is going on with you, but your problem does not mean a complicated fix. It may be pretty simple. You are still early out as well and you may just need more time. Talk to your ps and try not to stress to much until you do. (I know, easier said than done!!) ~Shelly~
