well my scars are as prominent as they were day one and i am almost a year out. they are dark purple and raised. which makes me want to cry because all of you are practically using nothing and have nearly fine white lines. i will have to try the cica care

I had a routine that I did twice a day with mine and my scars are virtually invisable.....i brok open a vitamin E capsule for each scar are rubbed the oil it, then used cocoa butter over the top of that and over my whole boobs to help prevent stretch marks abd keep the skin as soft and healthy as possible. I actually used the cocoa butter daily for about 2 weeks prior to surgery as well just to make sure my skin was ready for surgery I also started using the neosporin scar sheets about 3 weeks after surgery and those helped alot too!

i got into a bad car accident a few years ago and had severe lacerations all down my arm from my window shattering and i have 30 sperate sets of stitches in my face because it was so badly cut up... i had deep dark purple scars, i used mederma for about 3-4 weeks, you cant even tell i had any stiches on my face, so it does work, you just have to use it religiously

My PS said after the steris come off to use 3M Micropore paper tape and there will be virtually no scar. Right now I am putting a mango butter/shea butter/monoi de tahiti/vitamin e creme on the girls (not the incision) to help with the stretched skin and it eases the pain a bit too since I am so tight feeling.

Right now I am avoiding the incision but using a mango butter/shea butter/vitamin e/ monoi de tahiti/macadamia nut oil creme on the rest to help with the tightness.

How long after BA should you start using these scar products??? My surgery is Monday so I'm trying to stock up on everything I will need!

when can you start putting lotion on your breasts after BA?

My fear is infection so I wanted to keep them as clean as possible.

Where can you purchase the silicone sheets? I've never heard of them.

I actually got mine on Ebay (much cheaper)!
They're call Rejuveness.
There are other brands too, just google it and you will find a few online retailers.

I had 2 large scars on my left breast from when the PS had to squeeze fluid out of my infected booby---he left 2 thumb print scrapes; the scars, especially one, were bright red, then purplish red. I think the sheets do wonders. They have worked great on my older BA crease incision...haven't had the green light to put them on the newer incision yet. But that is what I will do.
Hi Ladies,

I am 5 days post and I purchased bio oil. When is it ok to use it? I see my PS on Monday so I intendto ask him then.

I'm with some of the other girls. HUGE believer in pure vitamin E oil. I used capsules, broke them open and rubbed my belly when I was preg. Never got a single stretch mark on my tummy, but I wish I would have used it on my boobs because I've had stretch marks on my boobs for 12 years, after I breast fed (even though my boobs didn't even get BIG when I was breast feeding!). Once I get the "okay" from my ps I'm gonna go out and buy a big bottle of vitamin E capsules.

My PS said to use Vitamin E oil. I haven't used it yet b/c I still have a little scabbing(gross!). He said once there is no scab, to put it on the scar. It's cheaper than Mederma. I think the little bottle I bought at WalMart in the vitamin aisle was 11 bucks.

I have been putting Palmer's anti-stretch mark cream all over my boob area for 2 weeks before the op and still now. I didn't touch them for the first 5 days cos they were too tender but now morning and night I apply the Palmer's. It has elastin and collagen in and I have no stretch marks at all.
I have bio-oil for the scars which I have started applying today (11 days pa) and I am told this in wonderful... I'll let you know.

Also, lots and lots of fruit and veg and healthy food will speed up your healing process

I started using Mederma 3 times a day. I also use Lubriderm Shea and Cocoa butter lotion for the top of my boobs to prevent stretch marks.
