Post BA and Running
Hey guys,
I have gained a few pounds in the last month and I've been dying to get in the gym again. I'm really into running on the treadmill and I would like to know when you were given the go ahead to start up again? I'm only 4 weeks post op and I feel like it's still too early to run. Also, when did you guys begin lifting weights? Thanks! |

I got the ok after 6 weeks too .But I have to tell you girls it feels really weird !!!! I thought I had got a really good sports bra and a double support top
but I got to the high impact portion of my class... Ow .ow ,it was not fun I actually had to hold on to my boobs as I was running .The girls in class thought it was funny as they have been with me for years and of course knew me pre boobs (flat as a pan cake ) Looks like I have to find better support bras .... Oh well whatever .I still love my boobies ,I am sure Ill find the right bra somewhere . Take care and hope you get in the gym soon . BAbette |

I'm dying to go run! My PS said 4 weeks, but today I cheated and as I was walking the track on base I got to a part that the sprinklers were hitting, so I ran through to try not to get soaked. My implants felt soooo weird, so I know I'm going to have to wait the recommended amount of time before I can continue... I'm just walking a lot outside and on the treadmill at an incline. I'm going to start doing weights tomorrow. I work out every single day and run everyday at lunch, so it's been so hard to be lazy! I find that when I'm not exercising everyday that my diet always goes to hell. Why the hell is that? Let me go ahead and pack on the lbs since I can't workout! Makes no sense, but oh well!

My PS gave me the ok to start out with aerobic exercise (including running) at one month, but to start s l o w l y and ease back into it. Plus wear a nice, supportive bra. I started lifting weights again right after 8 wks.

At 4 weeks i got the OK to do everything.
but do what you think you can handle like the rest of the ladies said, running was the wierdest thing. 2 weeks after surgery i just did a little 10 foot run and it was so werid my boobs just stayed there on my chest and barely jiggled at first i was worried that they would never jiggle! now 4 months out they go up and down and up and down...

After hearing from all of you, I will definately start running again at 6 weeks. I have one more question for ya.... Do you think running will help the boobs drop? I'm imagining myself running on the treadmill and I think the running would speed up the process up. What do you guys think?

dropping
I have been thinking that too ( that running would help them drop). However you would definitely need a good bra because you dont want them to drop too much.
