I had my BA on 08/28/07.....yeah just a week ago!.....I'm doing ok.....with the pain, and morning boob and all that 'good' stuff....lol.....but I'm so concerned about one thing.....

I had TUBA, which means I don't have any incisions anywhere on my breasts......I only have to deal with them being swollen and sore.....my concern is that my right areola has become really swollen for the last 2 days. It was fine before.....but lately it's swollen....and it hurts A LOT.....I feel like it's way too stretched and it's numb to the touch but feels very uncomfortable......with bra on or bra off.....either way it feels 'sick'.....you can even see it thru my clothes....not the nipple...the nipple is not pointy.....it's flat....but the areola itself it's swollen......looks like a bump in the middle of my breast.......

other that that every thing else looks and feels fine.....no brusing.....no weird pains...

I had my one week post-op appointment today and the PS said it's just swollen and should be back to normal soon.....I'm just afraid it's going to stay BIG....and popping out like that thru my clothes all the time......it looks just weird.....if it was just my nipple pointing out I guess I wouldn't mind it that much but it's the WHOLE areola popping out......is this normal with some of you????

Will it settle down as my implants drop?.....I'm just feeling depressed and unattractive right now so this is really bothering me....

Hope you girls can have some answers......

I can't wait to look normal....just with bigger boobies!

I have one areola that is puffy and pushed out also. I have also been told it will calm down. Hate the way it looks under my clothes with no bra on. I have resigned myself to either wear a bra all the time with my shirts or wear those tank tops with the shelf bra until it starts behaving.

It's completely normal. You'll be fine once the swelling goes down.
