Drop and Fluff

First I would like to say I LOVE this forum. I am so glad I found it and I have gotten so many of my questions answered just by reading all the posts. It's also been nice to see so many women have the same questions and concerns. I do, however have a couple questions and some of the same concerns. First question...where do you get those really cool poster/pic that state your stats? I would like to create one for myself.

Now for the serious questions. I am 5 days po and I'm feeling pretty good. I really haven't had any major pain just a little burning/zinging. I do have that odd vibration that several of you have mentioned which has been really interesting. I keep thinking my cell phone is going off. I had the BA/BL and when I peeked the first day I was devasted. They were really high and round up top and almost flat under my nipple. But as the days are passing, they do seem to be dropping and rounding out. Until I came to this forum I didn't know they were supposed to drop and fluff. I guess I just want reassurance that they will conitnue to round out and shape up. I am also having that "did I go big enough" concern. I had 500cc silicone overs. I started out as a saggy 34C and I was hoping with such large implants I would go to a very full D...but like many of you have mentioned, when I look at myself nude, they don't look very big. Somebody please tell me they will look BIGGER after they finish dropping and fluff!!! Surely 500cc has to make to look a little bigger!

Thanks for all the answers and support you offer. I look forward to being a part of this group.
Kikic, welcome, I am going to move your post to a new thread for you (post op forum)...that way, you will get more responses...have you introduced yourself yet in the newbie forum? That is a good idea, the members will see our new member..welcome once again....~ Anne

I'm sure you will start to see a difference with your 500s, they are probably quite hard at the moment, with the swelling and trauma etc, but they will settle pretty quick seeing as though they are overs...yes, I was one who got the vibrations, just like a mobile receiving a message I agree ! It sounds like you are doing really well, well done....glad you found the forum too ! x

I agree with Anne, you should see improvements sooner since you have overs. It takes longer for the implants to settle when they are stuffed under the muscle. Hang in there and give it time. Recovery is a long process. It takes time for the "girls" to settle and for you to see your final results.

I look like a full B when I am naked, but every bra I own or have tried on is a C cup. I tried on a 34C yesterday and it was a little snug. Augmented breasts just look a little smaller when we are naked. I wish I had known that BEFORE my surgery or I would have gove about 100ccs bigger. It's hard to fight that boobie greed monster.

Am I correct in understanding that you had a lift as well as implants? With you starting out as a C cup and adding 500 cc You should definatly make it to a very full D or even bigger... I had a lift and started with a C cup but lost weight and actually went into surgery with a B cup and I got 300 cc under and I got a full D with that. I just had a re-do to 500 cc filled to 600 and I'm only 3 days post so I have no idea what size I will be.

With a lift there is so much cut and all those nerves have to regrow and the sharp pains/vibrations are normal... weird huh?

Oh! you asked about the siggys. After you have posted 50 times you can request a siggy made by a couple of really generous ladies that dedicate a lot of time to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.

Toni,
Yes, I had a full anchor lift with the 500cc silicone. The doctor thinks I'm healing well and I should get my stitches out Friday. He unwrapped me today and sent me off without anything!!! I've never gone bra-less and I feel so naked. But he said he didn't want any pressure on them at all. I'm following every instruction to the letter because I really reallu want them to shape up and look good. They are still a little funny shaped (rounder up top and flatter under my nipple) but he says as the skin relaxes (since it is tight from being cut and stretched back together from the lift) that the implants will settle and they will round out nicely underneath. Since you had a lift also, did you find this to be the case?

I was so high when I came home that I didn't even have one finger space between my collar bone and the rise where my boob started... They literaly were under my chin. And they were square. How can something start out round have a round object inserted and be square??? It took a couple of weeks before I felt comfortable enough to walk around with my shoulders back...They did eventually settle to a very natural shape probably about 3 months before they looked natural....The hardest thing now is being patient. You will notice change every day for few months....
Welcome to boobieville....

Thank you!!! That makes me feel so much better, because square is a perfect description of how I feel mine look right now. I will try to be patient although that has never been one of my virtues!

Post-op cancer reconstruction with silicone implants

I had bilateral mastectomies in January and had expanders placed during surgery. My skin was often very inflammed after fillings. I had and exchange and silicone implants inserted three months post-mastectomy. I have had significant squeezing pain and burning sensations while wearing expanders and since my May reconstruction with silicome implants. I was told recently that I have a grade (stage) 3 capsular contracture in both silicone implants. At what point are the implants removed? If the implants are removed, I cannot see the benefit of having a second set inserted. It seems to me that my body will likely react the same way. Am I right in my thinking? I do not blame my plastic surgeon. I know that this is a fairly common complication. I just want the pain to stop. Chrisitine G.
