Morning Boobs!?

I have another question for everyone. How long does the "morning boob" thing last. "Morning boobs" suck! Every morning when I get up they are so hard they feel like giant rocks under my skin and they hurt. I am so ready to sleep in my bed again, I have a 4 year old who likes to journey into our bed during the night so I can risk him climbing on me while I'm asleep. The couch is kind of uncomfortable but I've finally gotten used to sleeping on it.
Also, when I lean over or use my arms a certain way sometimes it feels as though my boobs are having contractions. Is this normal? They will feel like they get hard and then it will go away. I am so paranoid, I know I need to just chill, It's just hard not to sometimes.

you are having muscle spasms = very normal. I had morning boob until about 10 days ago. It gets better....promise. I also have 2 toddlers so I understand about the sleeping thing.

I think about week 3 it went away, that was a nice time, everything stopped feeling strange and stuck on and started feeling normal again. Ick at the memory of "morning boob"!

I am so tired of morning boob also and I want to sleep at night again! Tomorrow will be week 3 for me, and any changes are welcomed. My ribs are so swollen and sore (right under my armpit). I was thinking about it, I had areola incesion with 350 silicone implants. I cringe to think how they got that big round implant into that tiny incesion. I asked the nurse and she said you don't want to know! I wish there was something I could say that could help, but I guess we all just have to go through it and look forward for the morning when we roll out of bed and the rocks are gone.

I think mine just lasted a couple of days..after my BA. It sure did feel like hard rocks on me. Thank God it didn't last too long.

I'd say the morning boob is the worst for the first 4-5 weeks. Then one day you wake up, and it's just kinda not there anymore! That is a great day let me tell you!!

Mine lasted for about a month, and as a previous poster said, I couldn't tell exactly when it stopped. I don't have to wear a bar to sleep anymore (I'm 2.5 months post-op), but sometimes it's comfortable to wear a tank with a shelf bar...that helped me minimize my morning boob. I also had "cold boob," where my chest muscles would tighten up like rocks if it was cold outside.

Try to relax, you are only 12 days post-op. You have a lot of changes to go through and what you describe sounds normal. I'm sorry you are having to sleep on the couch, but I agree, you wouldn't want your son accidentally hurting you while you sleep. If he always comes to your side of the bed during the night, do you think your husband would switch sides with you for a while? My morning boobs lasted for about a month.

I remember going to bed and bumming out because I knew when I woke up I'd be in PAIN. Mine lasted about 1 1/2 months. Real hard, high risin' and unmovable..Sucked big time!! Try using a hot water bottle and/or ice packs, whichever works better for you. I loved my hot water bottle..I swear it saved my sanity (and my hubbies). Try using a pillow under your side to give some cushion between you and the bed. Not to worry too much girl...This too will pass. HTH's
