bigger than i thought

So i went and got professionally fitted today and am a 32 D!!!! I thought i was going to be barely a "C"! And some of the brands i fit a DD! Im still in shock! I in NO way appear to be a "D" and in no way thought that i would get to that size! Im so happy right now that it doesnt even bother me that ones smaller than the other and im only at seven weeks so still have that chance of gaining a tad bit more! When i first went into this i wanted a "C" and then have been having boobie greed the past week or so because i felt they werent big enough but i am very happy to know my "actual" size now! And it turned out better than i ever thought it would!! Woo-hoooooo

Congrats!! I'm totally in the same boat - wanted a full C, ended up a 32D ... and am now thrilled, despite not wanting a D pre-BA! It's definitely a baby D, but I love it.

I'm not quite 3 weeks out, but I think I'm going to be bigger than I was expecting, too!

My swelling is gone, and they still have quite a bit of dropping to do, but I barely fit into the c-cup bras that I was stuffing in the weeks before my BA.

I guess I'll see over the next several weeks

I'm in the same position. I also think that bra sizes are ridiculous there is no standard anymore. I used to wear a 32 band and still do but just bought 34 band bras. A 34 always used to be enormous on me and now some of them only just fit. I've got a 34E bra and the other is a 36E! WTF! I needed a 36 because it was so small made across the back but then technically I should have needed a 36DD cup. Bra sizes are just way too confusing

I could've written your post myself, jallen!! I only got 200cc's of silicone mod unders but somehow ended up a 32D! (I had only wanted a full 32B but I'm sooooo glad I didn't get that. My boobs are a D cup yet they still look very petite and natural to me)

2 weeks after my surgery, Nordie's measured me at 30D or 32D. (I'm in between the two band sizes) After my swelling went down at 4 weeks, I was majorly bumming and using the JBI method of measuring, found that I was a 32C and no longer a 32D. So I ordered a bunch of 32C bras, about 2 weeks later they had all arrived. And guess what? None of them fit quite right. The center gore wouldn't lay flat, or I was bulging just the slightest bit over the cups. So I went to Nordie's yesterday and the same saleslady said, "Hon. I know you think you're a 32C but you really are a 32D! It's not about the measurements, it's about how the bras FIT." That was very eye-opening to me! She showed me that I can wear a 32C in full-coverage bras, but I need a 32D for balcony and demi-bras because I have minimal upper pole fullness but more fullness underneath.

So, I've thrown out all the various "measurement systems" (they're only a guide anyway, since women's breast shapes are so different) and instead, I'm going by how individual bras fit, and what those well-trained lingerie ladies at Nordstrom's tell me...and THEY say I'm a 30D or 32D *most of the time*...so YAY!!
