Cool

My PS made me start my massaging at one week post-op. I am now a little over three weeks, and my left side goes WAAAY up during the massage w/ no pain but my right is extremely tight and barely moves! I am doing it as hard as I can. I know that each side will be different in the coming weeks but to me it seems strange.

I have had a horrible time sleeping since my surgery. Last night was my first night of really bad pain since about 3 days post-op. I started puking it hurt so bad! I didn't take any pain meds b/c I had to be at work early in the morning.

I see my PS next week for my "one month" so hopefully it goes well. If I have another bad night, I might call him. I'm going to take 2 vicodin tonight and pass out.

Rheia, please share with us your PS' massage instructions! I wonder if it's the same as mine? How many times do you press one side of your boobie at a time? Or for how long do you press?

Dr. DeWire is my ps, and I do have pockets that large. He starts massage the morning after you've had surgery. Sure, it's not pleasant, but I did it anyway. You're 3 weeks post-op, so you should be able to massage like your ps wants you to. Don't worry about how DeWire's patients massage, or how other surgeons tell their patients to massage - the only thing you should be focused on is following YOUR surgeon's instructions.
