Still not dropping! Should I be worried?

I had my BA back in November, 21 Nov 07 to be exact. My leftie has dropped and seemed to have fluffed (if I understand what that means exactly), but my right is not changing! In fact, my left dropped into what is now very soft, very moveable, and feels like a very natural boob, but my right one is still hard! I went in for my 3 month check up about a month ago, and my doc didn't seem to think I should be worried. Its not CC he said... however, my right boob hasn't changed in months now... In fact, when I stretch my right arm straight out to my side, the implant gets very hard and won't move what so ever. Am I being impatient? Is there something wrong? Is this normal?? Please help ease my mind... I want to just believe the doc, that nothing is wrong, but when nothing changes for so long, you can't help but have that nagging feeling. Know what I mean?

I suggest you get a second opinion. I think 5months is too long for implants to be still as hard as the day you had your BA. But your implant may also be just naturally slow in dropping because you use that side of your body often. I'm right handed and my doctor said to expect my right boobie to swell down longer.

In the meantime, you may want to refer this to one of our PS here in the "Ask A Surgeon" forum and provide pictures.

Just curious. Did your PS recommend anything, like massaging?

Hope everything will turn out alright. Cheers!

Angel

I agree with DA. If your PS won't acknowledge that there way be a problem, go to another one. It's entirely too long for one to be that hard.

I agree with the other ladies..you should get a 2nd opinion. I had my b/a November 5th and was already dropped nearly 4 weeks post op...BUT, everyone is different. Still yet, I would get a second opinion, especially if it is bothering you. Best of luck

Thanks for your input!!

No, my doctor never did mention massaging or anything like that. The only instructions I remember getting was, no underwires for 3 months, and no heavy exercising for 6 weeks. That's it! In fact, the majority of the information I've learned about doing this type of surgery, especially the post-op side of it, I've read on this website! I am due to move back to the States in two months and now worried I won't have enough time to fix things if needed.

I'm left handed, but do 90% of things with my right hand. Could that cause it to be slow to drop? My right boob isn't as hard as it was right after my surgery, and has dropped somewhat since November (I've been taking weekly pictures all this time and do see some difference), but seemed to have stopped progressing what so ever about two months ago. I've tried massaging, but pretty unsure of what exactly I need to do, I haven't seen much of an improvement.

I hate to say it but this whole experience has been very disappointing for me. I started out as a 36A/AA, wanted to be a solid C/D cup and ended up as a 36B. A vast improvement, yes, but still disappointing and not what I had envisioned. I wished I had known then what I know now and I would have known what exactly to ask for! But, hind sight is 20/20 huh?

I will call and make another appt... Thank you again for your input/insight! I appreciate it!

Do get another opinion, or tell this same doc about your concerns. I noticed significant dropping around week 4-6. I also had mine in Nov, and by the end of Dec, they were both soft, and I could easily push them together. Let us know.

Sounds very similar to my situation. After 3 months they hadn't moved at all and were very very hard - even with massage and the strap. I had a second surgery that he went in and cleaned out all of the scar tissue that was preventing them from dropping... unfortunately for me, it was on both... Definitely get a second opinion...
