Running

OK, I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding physical activity post-op. I have been cleared to exercise and have been doing so since 6 days post-op (no lifiting/upper body of course). However I a curious to know the soonest any other runners started back after BA. I feel great and I am sick to death of the silly treadclimber at the gym (not to mention its in the 70's and beautiful outside and I am stuck inside a gym). But on the flip side I don't want to screw anything up on my BA by being impatient. I tend to heal a little faster than most (I think. I was running again 2 wks after each of my c-sections) so I feel ok from a healing standpoint. I just want to make sure I'm not fogetting to take certain BA criteria/limitations into consideration.

Oh, and of course I asked, my PS said just to listen to my body. I am curious to get your input as well though.

Thanks ladies!

Hi Shelly,
I was told I could start running again at about 6 weeks. I've heard some are ready as early as week 3 or 4. I think it will depend on the person and your ps recommendation. I can't wait, but again am with you in not wanting to mess anything up!
