Confused and Disappointed!!!
It's Day 23 today. My surgery was Friday May 23. I am 5'4", about 130 lbs and pre BA slightly less than 34A. I'm 35married, but no kids. I'm disappointed because in all reality I had no idea what to expect. Yes, I did the rice test but in a sports bra it looked larger than I was used to so I was pleased. At my PS consult I basically said I work out at the gym everyday and I ski all winter - so I am fairly active I don't want very large breasts because I think they will get in my way. However, I wanted a nice chest and to fill out a bra nicely. The surgeon and I opted for a 12cm dia. 300cc textured round moderate plus cohesive II gel implant - under the muscle. My surgeon said I'd be a C minus (give or take depending on bra manufacturer).
I had a great surgery, a pretty good recovery but I think they look small. I don't think I have "booby greed" but maybe I do. He did a lovely job creating cleavage (my better half always wants to look at it) but in clothing I look almost the same as before. Sure when I'm naked they look larger but not large enough. I don't know what to expect. I mostly wear a sports bra so I know they are being compressed - my PS said I could ease off of this but I really don't know what that means. Since I wear the sports bra 24/7 I basically go braless a night (since the last couple of nights). I massage regularly, one appears that it has dropped a little but now what? Will the other drop? Will they continue to drop? What exactly is fluffing? I am trying to console myself that when I do get around to buying some "pretty" bras they will indeed look larger (maybe?) I don't see my PS until July 16. I saw him at Day 4 to have the bandages removed and again at Day 13 moreorless for a looksie and he removed the surgical tape and told me to massage everyday and to begin applying vitamin E to the incisions. But that was about it. No discussion on breast support - braless, sportsbras, underwires, wireless so I am basically winging it. We briefly talked about excercise, he suggested I wait until after the 3 week mark and then I could do whatever I wanted - obviously if it hurt don't do it. So here I am. 300cc in my breasts and disappointed (but I feel guilty for feeling this way) and really no idea what to expect if anything over the upcoming month(s)? So now what? |

When I got out of my sports bra into a regular bra it was a huge change.
With unders they drop and fluff for a long time. I had overs so I don't have any real experience with that. Just try calling your PS and asking him what he wants you to do for bras. |

i am in the same boat as you. when i am naked, i love love love my boobs but when i have a shirt on they look the same as before (with a bra on)...at least i think. my boyfriend loves them and bless him, he has been very emotionally supportive through my ups and downs with greed. today i wore a wireless bra and a cute tank top (one that would have never worn before ba) and i felt so small. im tired of being down on myself.

I agree that sports bras do make you look smaller than you are? If I put on a sports bra I feel the same way. Have you been able to try an underwire yet? I bet if you try one of the Very Sexy bras from VS that you'll be thrilled. My PS originally said 300 for me (I ended up bumping it up) because I am also athletic. While I look larger, I am VERY worried about being athletic again. I'm scared to death of going for a run when I used to run 3 miles daily. So it's a HUGE trade off. I think since you are so athletic the 300 was the best bet, but it's hard to not have booby greed when you paid an arm and a leg. I love my new boobs but sometimes I question if I went too large for my lifestyle. I guess the grass is always greener.
Also feel free to call your PS for any questions even if you feel they might be minor. That is their job! You paid him! At first I was nervous to "bother" him then I thought...wtf I gave him a check for $7100!! ha ha. Please take care. Message me if you feel like chatting. I think EVERYONE feels ups and downs about their size. Sure I'm thrilled mine are large now, but will I next fall when I was to run in a bunch of races or next summer when I want to go water skiing? who knows?!? |

Hey girls. Gotta tell ya I used to do alot of running before my first ba, then finally found a really good bra and done a little running with my 1st set. Now here I am with my biggies, and honestly I really would be scared to do any real running afraid over time I would hurt them I know they make good support bras for them. I guess what I'm trying to say is I agree with NataleK and say that I made the trade off by going so big. So you will probably be grateful for the size when you start back running. But on the other hand I know how you feel when you say you wish you were bigger! Been there! Guess I really have no advice for you. Just understanding! Hope this makes a little bit of sense girls!

Thanks. I guess I have something to look forward to? Looking better in regular bras and overtime perhaps a little fluffing. It's still really discouraging.

HI
I told my ps the same thing, I work out, run and am very active, I said I didnt want them getting in the way (esp with my golf swing).... Im only 13 days out but I kinda wish I went just a bit smaller. In some tees you cant tell, but I am also in sports bras after a while you can push them up if you want to look big or squish them down when you dont. I am prob still swollen and havent dropped yet, maybe I will change my mind when taht happens.. Colsie |
