1st Post Op Appointment with PS

I had my first post op appointment today with my PS. It went really well. He took out my stitches, which kinda hurt, and told me to begin putting Vitamin E, Mederma, or other scar cream on them in 3 to 4 days when the scabbing is gone. I may try the Dr. Bain's I saw in another post.

He also said things looked just as they should. The only thing that was off was I am right handed but the left breast is still high. He said this happens sometimes and is not a problem. I also asked him about a burning sensation inside the left breast. He said it is the muscles and is normal.

He told me not to lift my hands over my head as much as possible because it causes the muscles to tighten and therefore not release the implant--thus the left side.

When asked how I felt about them, I responded that they "seemed rather big and I had wondered why I ever said middle c". He smiled and said that he was not bothered by me thinking they were big, he hears that alot. If I had said they were perfect, he said he would worry because then when they drop down, he would be hearing me say I wanted them bigger in a few months. He reassured me that those who say they are too big initially are more often pleased with the end result than those who think they are perfect before they ever drop. I feel better!!! I have regained confidence in my PS. After my appointment, I made a quick run in J.C. Penney's (couldn't stay cause I have a sick puppy that needed to be picked up at the vet over an hour away) and tried on two bras (Bali) just to see how they fit. 36B was slightly too big--this surprised me because we like to think anything with a B behind it is small. 34C was almost perfect. I wish I had tried a 32C and D just to see which fits the best. I really thought the 36B and the 34C would be about the same. Maybe it was the bandwidth being too big that made the cup a bit bigger.

LOL
