What I remember

I had mne immediately after surgery a week ago. Granted, I had just been completely out, but I was remarkably coherent, and I remember thinking my right side was SOOOOOOOO tight and kind of hurt. I couldn't really see anything, but the nurse on duty was really perceptive and said, "I think the Dr. needs to see this." The resident didn't think it was anything, but my PS took one look and said, "Yep. We need to go in again." So I was rolled back in after one facelift patient in between!

I think it only took a few minutes to correct, and my scars aren't markedly different on both sides, though I have some bruising on my right from the hematoma that didn't surface until 4 days after the surgery (and scared me to death). My pics show the bruising pretty well if you want to see.

HTHs. Under risks above on this site, as well, there are photos, though no great description of indicators. Mostly the tightness and huge feeling were what I remember.

Xiola has a spectacular auraXiola has a spectacular aura
It felt like a sudden muscle cramp, very tight and painful. It swelled massively (mostly towards the collarbone) in a matter of minutes and I had to get it surgically drained. I felt a bit lightheaded and hot but I think this was because I was terrified.

Any sudden changes, especially in size and shape, and pain should be looked at.
