Pain after 1 Month
Hi all,
I'm one month out today and just wondering when the ache would get better. I rode my bike a few days ago and felt a little more sore the next day. The fibrous part of my breasts hurt a lot......especially in the morning when I wake up. So maybe some of you would share when you started feeling normal again. I'm sure there have been other posts, but I just need some re-assurance that it's gonna be ok. Thanks |

Started feeling normal
I started feeling normal over the past week or so (started about six weeks post-op). I was cleared for all activities at 4 weeks, but it's only been over the past few days that I've been able to do absolutely everything without worry.
I still get little twinges now and then, but overall am starting to feel myself and back up to my pre-BA workout routine. I was able to carry some boxes of books down stairs and to my car a few days ago--sounds silly but I wouldn't have attempted that at 4 weeks. So you might be fine for a bike ride, but perhaps go a little more gently next time (or a shorter route)? Be patient with your body---you have already gone through the tough part and you're almost home free!

Thank you for the response. I think that the pressure from leaning on the bike handles was the problem. I haven't tried it again since then but I jogged a little this morning in my walk and had no problems (no soreness).
I'm feeling much better today and I'm excited to go for my checkup on Monday and see what the Doc says. Thanks again.........I'm glad that your recovery is going well! |
