Question anesthesia?? yeah or neah

I was curious. When people ask me or have asked me about my ba and I tell them that the doctor does not do general anesthesia only twilight anesthesia they cringe. How many of you had general anesthesia and how many had twilight?? I had twilight.

general - I would personally not want to be even a wee bit aware of the goings on - even if I wasn't in any pain.

I was told by the nurses and such that it would be twilight. I was a bit nervous about that because I really didn't want to KNOW what was going on at all. I have seen his work and I knew he was good so I figured it was the sacrifice to make. However the day of the BA I arrived and they use registered anesthesiologists that come in for the day and they say they ultimately decide and they said general. I relaxed a lot more then and it was wonderful being strapped in and getting asked how old are your kids. I started telling them and before I knew it I was waking up in the recovery room. I then said may I go home now. LOL! I don't like Drs or hospitals.

I had general for five minutes and then twilight during an eye surgery. It wasn't too bad. there is NO way I would be awake while they stuck needles in my eye to numb it!!

Being knocked out is much easier!

I threw up after both. YUCK!

I had twilight. It was like going to sleep and waking up with boobs. I had no recollection of the surgery, did not dream during the surgery and I had no nausea after the surgery. It was great.

I had twilight. I've had it before for things like wisdom teeth too. Don't remember a darn thing. Went to sleepies joking with the doctor, anesthetist and nurses and woke up with boobs and blabbing to the nurses. No worries.

I had general and wasn't offered twilight. I may have chosen it if I could because I've been put to sleep so many times, I'd rather not do it more than I have to. But, all went well with my general.

I had the one where they put the IV in you and then all of a sudden you're waking up and completely HIGH! It was great. I was chatty kathy when i woke up. The lady made my ride take me home early cuz I kept talking and talking. She was like, "She doesn't need recovery, she's ready to GO!" LOLOL
