Will I get cleavage?

My PS told me not to massage yet so really I feel like there is no movement. I can move them a little but I'm too afraid to try to really push them together at all. Right now they are so far apart and I'm hoping I'll get some cleavage in the future as they drop a bit. I'm also not supposed to wear a bra either, so I think that adds to my cleavage greed. Do you think they'll get better as they drop or are they stuck where they are?

Some ps's don't have you start massaging till about 4 weeks. Cleavage mainly depends on how far apart your cleavage was before ba, that won't change! But as they drop and soften you can push them up easy with a good bra!

I agree. When doing all my reasearch before my ba, my DH and I looked at all kinds of before and after pics. It seems to me that they all had the same look as they did before as after like placement or if they were spread apart to begin with. Mine were uneven to begin with. (one about 1 inch higher than the other). I really never noticed it because I really didn't look at them. I don't expect this surgery to make them more even although I wouldn't complain if it did fix it. I'm sure once everything falls into place you'll look like a million bucks....

Did you have cleavage before? If not, (like me) you probably won't get cleavage (without making it with a bra) even now after implants, it's all about how your chest cavity is aligned. If you know what I mean. I was too told not to wear a bra for 2 weeks but I assumed it was so that they fall naturally?!? But I was told to massage them when it wasn't painful. I have come to the realization I will not have cleavage, unless it's made with a pushup!!!!

Good Luck

Ps told me I will not ever have cleavage, beacuse it all depends on where your breast bone is located in relation to your sterum-that won't change. Ok by me, happy to just have boobies, that's why push-up bras were invented.

That's the same as me... but on the other hand, I really like my side boob... (didn't know about side boob before, but now that I have it, I like it...)

Welcome (back) to the world of push ups....

One thing I always thought about when I got a BA was the fact that I would never have to wear a push up bra again.

hahahahhahahhahaha....

I would have made a terrible child of the 60's because I cannot live without a bra (I would have been the idiot diving back INTO the pile of burning bras to try to save them!!!!). I think we all go into a BA dreaming about endless amounts of cleavage and cute little pink bras that will offer no support because we don't need it.

I was able to achieve cleavage before BA with a good bra and will be able to after as well.....with a bra

Give it some time for them to drop and soften....think of cotton balls and fluffy things, like bunnies and clouds until you can massage

Sending good boobie thoughts your way!

I was wondering the same thing. I guess I have a wide sternum, my ps mentioned that before the surgery and said it would be the same. But even before my ba with my 34 barely a I could push them together with a good bra but mine still dont budge much I can finally push them together with my hands but have been trying on some bras and they dont come close. Im hoping when they drop more they will be softer and more pliable?

i don't have cleavage either, never did, never will without a push-up bra. I never really tripped off cleavage anyway, though. Just wanted to fill out my cups!

Mine are very far apart, too, but when I was breastfeeding, I was a C cup and they were far apart then. I just depends how your body is made..... how far apart your pec muscles are. If your boobs just grew that big (from breastfeeding or whatever), they would probably just be far apart. I wouldn't worry about it. They are beautiful. Not all women's boobs "kiss" in the middle. I've heard of women having their PS do some "pocket work", which I think is very painful, for the sole purpose of making their boobs be closer together. I don't think it's worth it. Once they soften up completely, you can wear a Victoria's Secret bra that pushes them together for cleavage. Don't obsess over it. You are blessed.

I can get cleavage pretty easily, but I'm afraid of pushing them together (with or without a bra) because I'm paranoid I'm going to give myself symmastia (sp?). Is that possible, or am I just an idiot? (Yes, I recognize those are not mutually exclusive answers!)

I worried about the same thing both prior to and after surgery. Before, I would lay on my back and check the position of the nipples and the formation of my chestwall like a lunatic on a daily basis. Then it was to as the dh if he thought that my nipples pointed out too much and were too far apart because what they are pre is what they will be larger post.
I was a bit dissappointed in the space between my huge new boobies at first, but since they have begun to drop they gap is closing without putting them too close. I actually think they are going to be perfect spacing once they finish droppping--or at least I hope. So, in other words, yes I do think there is a great chance that you will gain cleavage with drop and fluff. I guess it is different for everyone, but there is definitely a chance.

I have a wide breast bone as well and didn't really have cleavage before and not much after without bra. As far as the massaging goes, I guess every ps is different. I find it weird that so many on this forum are told the exact opposite from me.

My ps puts you in a sports bra right after surgery. You are to wear it or another sports bra for the first two weeks day/ night and he suggests always sleeping in something supportive. Also, he recommends massaging the day after surgery. Compression massages and cleavage massages (pressing from the outside kind of up and in. I remember with my original BA this was a great relief. It really relieved so much of the pressure. I can't imagine what those of you that are not massaging are going through.

good luck and thank goodness for the push-up bra!
