LIST of good things to have post op?
hey does anyone have (or know where one is posted) a good list of things to have on hand Post Op?
I'm trying to do as much shopping for the event as I can now, and was wondering if anyone had some tips? My items i have now I have in a small terry cloth burts bee's bag and it contains: Ace bandage with a cold/hot compress Arnica Montana Homeopathic pills Tylenol (for after when I'm not taking the pain meds) Bromine from pineapple Selenium (ok probably spelled that wrong) Compression Socks Dr. Blaine's Complete Scar Care Treatment Tamanu Oil (from whole foods for after the stitches come out its a healing oil) My medications from the doctor (pain, nausea, antibiotic ect...) Other things I have : A few new movies on hand to watch TV dinners for me and my son Some new games for him and movies for him to watch when not in summer camp Comfortable clean sweats to wear slippers Major things I'm missing? Please let me know I really appreciate your input

That's a great list.
Consider adding: -Heating Pad for back ache from sleeping and muscle tightening -Bromelain or pineapple juice to help reduce swelling -straws to help you drink -laxatives or stool softeners -arnica cream for bruising and pain relief Good Luck!

Hand towels(for icing), crackers(in case meds upset your tummy), bottled water/gingerale(great for nausea), extra socks & p.j.'s within easy reach, face cleansing wipes, brush and hair tie, chapstick, remote control. Also extra blankets in case you have chills fter sx, lots of pillows, heating pad.

STRAWS!!!! So you can drink in bed without using your ab/chest muscles to sit up. Bendy ones would be even better.

Pre-cooked meals (if available...my mom came and cooked me several meals)
Pre-opened water bottles/meds Button up shirts or something easy to get out of Dial Soap Something to do...i.e. internet  movies, paperwork...something to keep your mind off your boobies!!Camera...to take post op pics Lots of pillows to prop yourself up Baby Wipes (these were great!) Tylenol PM ***Patience
