Arm & Chest Exercises at 6 weeks? Feeling funky...

This week my PS FINALLY gave the okay to work out! I was so excited to go to the gym this morning and have been feeling 100% normal (in my booby area). However, once I started working out, with some exercises my boobs still felt really weird! Well, the muscles around the area - it didn't hurt, but I don't know how to describe it, it just felt really bizarre! Is this normal at 6 weeks? Does anyone else who works out know what I am talking about? I managed to do a couple of tricep presses, but used 20 lb. weights when I usually push about 60, and did about 5 before I just couldn't handle the feeling. On some other machines, I couldn't even get through one, even with light weights.

So, to those who work out who have had their boobs awhile - does this feeling go away? Is the muscle still healing? Or is it something that I am just going to have to "push through" and get used to?

I'm sure it will go away with time. But hopefully a veteran can confirm. I understand about the strange feeling doing upper body workouts. I went back to the gym this week and anything that involved any upper body movement felt strange. Running and the elliptical felt strange too with a little bouncing of the girls. At times I got a discomfort in the cleavage area..like a sore/bruised tight feeling. Felt like a little muscle pull. SO, I just decided to stop whatever made me feel like that and try it again this week. Tried to do light upper body at home today..arms and shoulders..got that strange feeling again..so I will try again this coming Friday. It's kind of frustrating, but we need to remember that we had major surgery and sometimes people's bodies don't heal as fast as others. I won't give up!!

I have refrained from using any weights during my chest excercises because if feels so weird. I just started a thread asking if these boobs will ever feel real. I think this is along the same lines, you should check it out to see what the replies are.

Thanks, I did just check it out quickly! What's weird is that I have felt really comfortable - like I was meant to be born with these boobs! But I guess I haven't been doing too much since my PS put so many restrictions on me! I hope more people with some time do respond to this post, I am very curious. I guess when I work out it feels like the muscles are seizing or flexing or something - I don't know if that makes sense...

But yes, as yasminv1 said, I guess we did just have surgery, our muscles were hacked apart (ew, when you think about it!), I guess it'll just take time. I hope so anyway, I am someone that really needs to work their arms!
