Another Massaging ?
My PS sent home a paper w/ illustrated instruction as to HOW I should massage, starting at day 3. How ROUGH are we supossed to be doing this? Cuz I tell ya..some of those images looks SKURRRY! LOL...
Will my PS massage mine at my 1 week apt? |

My p.s. massaged mine toughly at 1 week and let me tell you it was scary, but totally pain less*considering I had a tough recovery*...My p.s. wants me to be a tough with them.

My advice would be to do what feels comfortable now and at your one week post-op ask specifically how much force you should be using so you are clear you are following your PS's instructions. I had that same question and before I could ask he told me to show him how I had been doing my manipulations and corrected me.

My PS nurse massaged mine at post op and I about screamed when she tugged on a stitch!!! I swore she ripped one out!! She told me to calm down and then made me show HER how to massage my own boobs. She wanted to make sure I was listening. Massage gentle and then go a little bit harder each time.

I agree with HappyinSoCal, just keep on doing what you can, then ask your PS to demonstrate it on you at your next appointment.
My PS actually did it for me on the 1 day post - it was really painful at the very first, to be very honest with you. Also extremely scary at that time as that was the first time(plus I was swollen & sore) but after that, it actually helped my babies & my muscles to loosen and relaxed. I could tell that the first massaging helped my recovery, as well as d&f.
