Since my BA is on the 21st and New Years is just a week or so after, will I be able to at least have a glass or two of champage? I know it said no alcohol 10 days before. But I dont see after. ???

i would ask your PS. I still needed to be off most over the counter drugs, etc. and keep my blood pressure way down for 2 weeks after. He said it had to do with reducing possiblity from bleeding afterwards.

I was told no alcohol for the first 24 hours. You do have to remember that powerful pain meds and alcohol don't mix. I think that by 10 days po 1-2 drinks for New Year's would be okay.

I wasn't allowed to drink alcohol for 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks post.

I started drinking 5 days post-op. I limited myself to two glasses of wine.

I didnt drink for 2 weeks before but im having a couple of glasses of red wine with my dinner now im off my meds. I would think you'd be ok to have a few by then. Good Luck

I was told no alchol 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks post!Every ps is different so ask you doctor.

My PS said 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I'd suggest you ask what your PS recommends.
