No Drop & Fluff for me?

Ok I am relatively happy with my results. I am post-op 16 days I did go through some boobie greed/blues.... still am but not NEARLY as bad.. esp on the greed part. My PS said that bigger would not have fit me and since my skin is so tight I believe that. It was just strange to me to be in the same size bra (filled it out MUCH better) and be out and see smaller framed women than I with much larger ... but whatever I guess thats possible. Everyone is different...

But ANYWAY I have more or less finally figured out that this is the best result for ME. Still I'm hoping for some slight changes... I was thinking that the Drop & Fluff process would be just the thing I needed... even though they don't sit up high or anything..... but tight, yes. Sometimes they look really odd to me. Just kind of round and flat and big against me. But other times I think they're pretty great. Ughh i'm such a basket case!

I would be totally assured with all I have learned on here about the "drop and fluff" (I mean its all over the place is it not!) process EXCEPT for one thing. My PS has never even HEARD of the term. Furthermore he said that no this is pretty much what you'll have when I asked what changes to expect.

He has already been kind of wrong since the initial swelling hadn't gone down at that point since it was only 2 days post op at that time. So there has already been THAT change. I'm hoping I misunderstood (I am deaf by the way.. I can speak normally and hear some but I miss ALOT more than you'd think) or he misunderstood me or maybe he just doesn't notice the subtle changes the way a woman that HAS them (implants) would?

Has anyone out there been told that there would be no changes to come or had a similar experience and ended up experiencing (positive) changes anyway even though their PS said there wouldn't be any... or their PS didn't mention that there would be any? I hope this makes sense...

Oh, I have submuscular (unders) smooth round silicone 265ccs... breastfed 3 children 5'5 weigh 120-125 lbs if that helps. Pre BA 34Aor B bra I wore (but didn't fit) and now wearing a 34B but maybe a small "C" needed. Not sure yet..

I didn't experience the drop/fluff process. i found this site a few days after my ba but before my post op and when i went in and asked him about d/f he didn't know what i was talking about but said my boobs were exactly where he wanted them to be and didn't want them to change. the only change my have gone through is the softness. once i started massaging my boobs did get sooooooooo much softer and feel so natural. The only change mine ever went through was the initial swelling. i love my babies yes, mine are small...i was a mid B before BA and am just a full C. i would love to sport the big bobbies but i know they wouldn't look right or make me feel comfortable on my frame. It is hard to not get boobie greed but you just have to keep in mind what would be right on you.

My PS did not know the "D&F" term, but he said that PS's call it settling. He said that they will get much softer, and "settle" into the pocket. I asked for more clarification, and he said that yes they drop but that is such a negative work, so he likes the word settle. He said it takes anywhere from 3-6 months to see the final result. He also said that unders and larger implants take longer than overs and smaller implants. I have 500 CC unders, and I can already tell that changes are occurring (small, but noticeable). My PS also showed me many patients' photos of before, 2 weeks post op, 1,2,3,4,5,6 months post op of the same people, and you can definitely see the major changes. I assure you that it is real.

I am 6 weeks post op and my PS said that mine still need to settle into the lower part of the breast some. Not to buy bras because the cup size could change as this happens.

im fluffin beautifully - AAAALMOST makes me say no to a redo... did u see my newest pic in my album? they were muuuuch flatter the first week... i understand ur pain - ur muscles are still holding on for dear life - dont worry

others wnt notice the difference, but us women do... my PS didnt even mention the idea of textured, profile, settling, or anything. lol

each ps is different - he'll be (unpleasantly) shocked when i come back to him in september knowing everything about BAs lol

Thank yall sooo much for the great answers. Somehow it makes me feel Sooo much better knowing that I'm not the only one whose PS didn't really mention D & F. Come to think of it, SAHGKC, I do think he may have said something about some slight settling into the pocket. That sounds like a description of the "drop"ping. And I would be willing to bet that I can expect some softening too which sounds really good to me.

Hi Elle...He said maybe like twice a day ...(the motion he showed me was kinda like push together and then upwards) his attitude was kinda like (shrugs) just if I want to and if I think of it..so it was definitely not like heavily stressed or anything. Yeah I kinda have the sense that if I was supposed to do it a lot it would really loosen things up and speed that along so I kinda wish he said to. Although it hurts so kinda glad I DON'T have to too! lol

I'm same as you with the tight skin, going as large as I could for a first BA, and my PS said it will take about 6 months for that skin to loosen up, then we will look larger! I don't think this is the same as the regular D&F everybody talks about - which I think has to do with the muscles relaxing and the implant settling. Right now the skin is holding them in tight like BAM! The firm look is not so bad, actually it looks great in some clothes and bikinis. It's all good.

My PS refers to it as settleing. Drop and Fluff is not a medical term, rather a term used to describe the process on implant forums, which is why I think our PS's look at us like we're bonkers, lol. The way mine has explained it is I will fill out more on the bottom side, and the fullness on top will decrease. By his explanation, the change in shape is what would make someone possibly gain size.

My ps said there was no such thing: the size you come out, is the size you are. I believed this, and of course thought the D&F concept was just some boobie lunacy.

But over the first few weeks, and months, the shape changed. I measured and took pix -- and know what I experienced. My muscles relaxed, and the implants shifted down. It is likely this relaxing that allows us to create cleavage, and fill out bras more fully, as time goes by.

tink im in the process of d&f, my left implant feels alot looser than my right, but to begin with it was a bit higher, i noticed that they were a bit more looser and softer around the 1 month mark, they were still pretty hard in week 3 but now at the 6 week mark alot softer, my ps told me i can wear underwired and push up bras at the 2 month mark

My PS looked at me like I was slightly nuts when I mentioned D&F.... hadn't got a clue what I was going on about! I was also told that what I had was what I would get... but lo and behold, there it was, at about 4 months... my D&F, complete with significant size increase.

Now, I'm not saying everyone gets an increase when they D&F, but everyone seems to get some sort of change, even if it's just that they feel a little softer. So yeah, I would say you still have a LOT of changes to go through....

My PS used the term "settling" too, and it does seem more accurate. The implants loosen and settle, your skin loosens, and you get a more natural dangle. I love it. I don't know that I'm getting "bigger" but the volume has increased with the dangling. It's just a different shape, not necessarily a different size. I look less full on top, but fuller at the bottom... more of a handfull of boobs now. I'm not expecting the fluff that everyone talks about, but the dropping is nice. With overs and with the massaging I've done since day 2, I softened and dropped pretty quickly.
