I got me some boobies now... BLAH

Had my BA Thursday and have been soooo uncomfortable ever since. The BA went well, except the PS had to send me to the emergency room afterward for some x-rays. He said he thought he got under my ribcage and this was causing me trouble breathing. How could he do that? Anyway the x-rays came out ok but it still hurts to breathe. I have been taking quick shallow breaths. And my voice is raspy from the tube they put down there. I got the 425/450 I wanted and but they are sitting so far up they are literally touching my collar bones. I feel like a circus freak. I've been on percocet until today when the nurse called and told me to stop taking them because I cant hold any food down. I havent had a decent meal since last wednedsay. I hate the compression bra they gave me because the band is cutting in under my breast but I have to wear it for 2 weeks. I Hate sleeping sitting down against pillows all night. My daughter has been an angel helping me with my meds and bringing me food. I could barely get out of bed to use the bathroom until this morning. And I can only get out of bed for a few minutes before I start feeling dizzy again. I know things will start to get better but I cant wait. My arms are killing me too but I dont know why. when will I start to feel happy again?

Trouble breathing... totally normal... sore throat.. totally normal. I had both! just your chest muscles hurting from the trauma. You just don't ever realise just how much movement we do that requires our chest muscles.. Relax about them being way high, that is swelling and they will drop! just takes time. I know that is hard to hear at points like now, because you just want to be healed and enjoying by now.. but just ice those babies to keep swelling at bay and take some tylenol for the discomfort. Stay propped up while sleeping, hold your boobs when you get up ( that is the worse for a little while, but it does get better ), have you had a BM? if not.. that could be part of the nausea. take a laxative, if not. Keep us posted!!!

also, let your PS know about the band cutting into the underside of your breast.. see if on your next appt.. or maybe you can go in early, if they can do something about that!

Cool

I think what you're going through is totally normal...I had my BA today and even though I've been walking around slowly quite a bit, taking breaks from sitting in the recliner, my pain level hasn't even rose above a 2 out of 10 since I left the hospital several hours ago. I was prescribed Vicodin for pain relief--think I've taken maybe 3 today and it's really helping out for my pain control. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out last year, I was prescribed Percocets also and they made me sick too.

I'm sure I'll continue to get a little bit more sore over the next few days...Just focusing on taking all of my meds I was prescribed, along with Arnica Montana and Bromelain (I've heard a LOT of people say how much it helped them with swelling and bruising so I'm trying it), and making sure not to lay down too much, but to get up often and walk around a little bit. Makes me feel better.

My implants are really hard, too, and they are high up on my chest as well. My PS made a special trip over to the recovery room to tell me that that is completely normal and that within a few weeks, they'll drop into the scar tissue pocket and soften up, just takes time.

Hope you get to feeling better!

Hugs coming your way from all of us. I wish we had a magic 'red' EASY button to make it all better. lol. I am sure once you can start getting some food and water down to help with healing, things will get better. Lots of hugs. Take care, and hope you are better again soon. One day at a time

I also had trouble breathing and the ABSOLUTE WORST and I mean WORST was getting up and sitting back down. Oh man, was that horrible... I feel your pain. I started to feel better on Day 6, but even then it felt like I had 2 objects stuffed in my boobs. Right now, I'm 12 days post and feel a lot better. I wake up with morning boob though (I know what that means now lol!), and it's not fun. But, I feel like it's all been worth it..don't worry, you'll start feeling better soon
