mondors cord
So anyone else have this. I just saw that I had it when I went for my post-op yesterday when the strips were removed I looked in the mirror and freaked. I remember reading about it but forgot if it was too bad or not. I guess it's not and is supposed to go away on its own.
So my question is for those who have had it how long did it take to go away if ever and since it is hard to reach because of it will I make it worse if I strech it too much? |

Wow no one else? Have any idea even if you didn't have it if and when it goes away? I have a hard time streaching for things.
Thanks guys |

i had them too
Take tylenol and put wet warm compress on them. Try not to pull or streatch them as that won't help. They do go away over time. I think mine hung around for a couple of months

i have two one on each breast underneath.
I noticed them about 2 weeks post op and they've not shown any sign of retreating, I bet in about a month they'll be gone, my PS said not to worry they'd go away. It does make doing a lot of normal things hard like moping or cleaning or lifting. Hugs! |

I've had my cords for 9 weeks now! :(
I have had my Cords since day 8 PO.
They are a pain, but you will get use to them. I'm just trying to be patient til mine go away, I've now had mine 9 weeks! My Right Side has 5 Cords and my left side has 4 cords. You may not be able to see all of them in the pictures, but I just wanted you to see the difference in just, almost 2 weeks. These pictures are from day 9 and day 20, so they are are a mth and a half old. They are improving, just not gone yet. Hang in there! We'll get through this. ~ Day 9 ~ Day 20

I just noticed last night when I was putting on my silicone strips on my scars, I have 3 on the left side and one on the right. They are not painful or anything but look ghastly. I hope they don't last too long i'm getting the girls out in a bikini in a months time in Bali, can't wait.
