It's sure been a long trip to get the new twins but they are finally here!!!!
Just a little recap----- I had my BA on April 10th, on April 29th I had one removed due to a severe staff infection. I have been waiting for the "all clear" from my PS to put it back. It has been a long summer with only one boob, but Wednesday I got it back. My mom and Fiancee took me. Pre-op was the normal stuff, plus an extra boost of antibiotics for good measure. Anesteseolgist had a talk with me (had little trouble the first time) then off I went to surgery. I was in surgery for a little over an hour. They flushed my pocket out with antibiotics and popped the new implant in. My PS stithed me up and then put Dermabond over my incision for good measure. (Boy is he being cautious!!!) I went back to my parents house after surgery. Boy did it sting. The antibiotic they flushed me out with burned like crazy. The nurse told my mom to expect this. I took the max amount of pain pills and out I went for the rest of the day. I took pain meds on Thursday but was not taking them by Friday morning. Everything seems to be going well. I have minimal swelling, no bruising, and my soreness is not that bad either. Now all I have to do is get past the next couple weeks without any infections getting me then I should be home free. I can't wait for the new one to D & F so I will be evened out and can finally wear all the new stuff I have bought. I'm going to go back to work on Monday but will not be driving. I still have to say that it had totally been worth it. Thanks so much from all of you for your support over the last 4 months. I don't know what I would have done with out you. |

I really think my D&F will happen quickly. (In my not-so-expert-opinion) My pocket was made 4 months ago and has practly healed besides any minor modifying my PS did. I can already tell that it has dropped out of my arm pit pretty much. I have not lost any feeling from the last surgery and don't have any of the zingers I had last time. I'm very hopefull this will happen quick!!!

Yeaaaaaa I am so glad for you!!! With what you've been through, you deserve a quick and uncomplicated recovery. I really admire your strength - it would have been so difficult to wait out those months, especially during summer. I can't wait to see your updated pix, if you take any.

I'm pretty sore today. My sternum hurts and a spot on the outerside of the new one. I don't have any zingers yet and no itching. I can't wait till I can move around again. I go back to work tomorrow. I hope it goes smoothly.

Congrats on the newest girl!! Must be such a relief to have gotten this far. Sorry you're not feeling so great today, but you know, that'll go away and you'll be enjoying those tops soon.
