My PS highly recommends sleeping supported.. she said that although it won't hurt to sleep braless or go braless every now and than... generally you should keep your girls supported for the longevity of your implants... gravity is what it is, and whether you have implants or not, this helps limit sagging over time.

My PS said to do as my body feels. I was allowed to sleep without a bra after the first week but here I am over two weeks and can't sleep without it - I've tried.

NO bra for me!
Quote:
It is so funny b/c my PS just recently changed her thoughts on this according to new research that is out. I know someone who had her BA 5 months ago with my PS and she had to wear some post-op support bra for like 3 months...and for me (1 month ago) I was told to wear nothing as long as I could! What is up with all the different schools of thought??? Sleigh |

My PS said to sleep however I wanted and to wear nothing or support if I felt I needed to. I sleep on my side and belly with no issues. I have been sleeping with a camie or a comfy sports bra almost every night since BA. I feel more comfortable sleeping with support.

I'm about a month post -op as well but have been able to sleep on my side pain free for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I still wear my sportsbra to bed but today is the first day I'm going braless (wearing a sundress). My PS said that I'd have to wear a sportsbra for the first 6 weeks, but I think a day here and there without it should be ok (fingers crossed). Aside from some itching, I feel great!

I had wrinkles in my cleavage from being big all my life and sleeping braless. Now that I'm full again I will never second guess gravity. I bought a couple of very cute, light sports bras at Sears (Elita) and will be sleeping in these every night. You know those old ladies with the wrinkly cleavage...don't think it won't happen to you!

At my 1 week PO my PS told me to do whatever was comfortable. Sometimes I sleep with a cami or light sports bra and sometimes I don't. I sleep on my side and on my back too. You should ask you PS and go with what he/she says.

Actually I find it more comfortable
wearing a non wire support bra to bed then no bra...just really holds them...I tried a couple of times to sleep braless but during the night it became uncomfortable so I put my bra on again...I just kinda loosen the band if it gets too tight during the night... My ps actually said there was no need to sleep with a bra on...but personally...800cc I 'll be wanting to hold these girls up for sure !! |
