Ladies - I'm just curious if you were all bandaged up after surgery and if so whether you took the bandage off and peeked at them. OR -- did you wait 'til the bandages officially came off? I will be in an ace bandage after surgery and they gave me an extra in case the other gets soiled. What this tells me is I will be tempted to take the bandage off and look. There's no way I will be able to wait until my post op appointment to see them. What about you?

I had a tubi-grip bandage that went from my tummy all the way up to under my arm pits and then steri strips and dressings over the incision area. My PS said I could take it off if it got too tight; initially I thought "no, i'll stick it out" but it was soooo tight it began stopping me breathing deeply so I have to admit I popped em out a few times.
Strangely enough they felt so much better bandage/bra less during the first few weeks but now I prefer keeping a bra on them all of the time..... don't want any sagging of the assets lol x x |

I just had my BA yesterday and am wrapped in a tight Ace bandage. I'm waiting until the PS takes them off to look because I don't want to mess anything up. Luckily I don't have to wait too long because my post-op appointment is just 2 hours from now!
I can already feel the curves through the bandage (especially on the bottom - I can cup my breasts which I really couldn't do before!) So excited to have them taken off! Although now I have to figure out what to wear. I think I go braless but am allowed to wear loose fitting cotton camis which I don't currently have! |

I wasn't bandaged, but the first thing I did after coming out of anesthesia was lift the blanket and peek lol!

Honestly, I was in so much pain I didn't want or care to look. I was also bandaged so tightly around my breasts and stomach I had NO idea what they looked like and was SO woozy from the pain meds I didn't know WHAT I was doing or thinking.
My surgeon had me come in the next day and he literally RIPPED them off tape and all. When I looked down, the crying from the pain stopped and they looked AWESOME!!! It was the most surreal thing to look down and see large, beautiful breasts coming from me! He touched my nipples and asked if I felt them and I definitely did.... It was a cool experience. You may be bandaged so tight that you'll have to wait until the following day when he unwraps you.

I was wrapped with a pain pump for 4 days. I peeked a little from the top, but didn't try to fully remove the ace at all until day 4 which was when I removed the ace and pain pump catheters. How can we not at least sneak a little peek?!?

I only had bandages over the incisions, and just had a sports bra on, so yes I peeked! And I was disappointed because they didn't look very big but they grew a lot that first week as the muscles let go!

Ya know what? Before my BA I thought for sure I was gonna peek!! But when it was all said and done, I was in so much pain and I was wrapped up sooooo tight I could barely breathe that I was actually scared that something bad would happen if I took off the wrap. I was actually scared that they were going to look horrendous! I was able to take the wrap off on day 3 so on Saturday my hubby removed my bandages. It was such an amazing feeling to actually see these big, beautiful breasts on MY chest. I had very small breasts one of which was tuberous so it is wonderful to finally have normal boobs let alone big! Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread. I just wanted to say that even though I wanted to see them so badly I was in so much pain and on so many drugs that I was too scared to!
