Sore muscles below crease, 2 weeks post-op
Hi everyone, new to this forum - had NO CLUE there was such a forum! Wow!
I had breast lift and augmentation (under the muscle) on 8/5, two weeks ago... I have muscle soreness along my ribcage BELOW the crease. I assumed that the way the muscles were cut to put in implants would cause this but I can't seem to find anyone else that has this - ? Tonight I started getting concerned about it and of course it is after 5pm so no calling doc office until tomorrow.... Sometimes, depending on how I use my arms to lift or pull or whatever (using the muscle), it feels totally awkward in that same region below the crease. Is this something you've heard of?? If I left out some info, let me know - I certainly had no idea this forum existed and I'm not uber-knowledgable on this stuff. I'm sure that comes across as ignorant but really, I just had a problem (in my mind) that I needed fixing and I trust my ps! (problem = not a real problem, just post nursing flat pancakes!) Thanks very very much! |

the closest i can get to helping you is....
The week after my surgery, i told my doctor that under my incisions, (which would be like the top of my stomache), was sore when i pressed down on it. Like it almost felt bruised underneath. But it didnt really hurt, just felt bruised when i pressed on it. He didnt know why, but it went away. Is that what you meen? If not, sorry...i tried, lol |

Hmm yes, it is very sore - like pulled muscle sore... though it does seem like the muscle works a little funky if I pull or grab at something a certain way. Almost as if the muscle pulled away from the bone a bit or something? I don't know - I'm feeling more confirmed about calling in tomorrow to check on it since I really can't seem to find anyone else having these types of issues. I don't think it is anything serious necessarily but want to check. I'm assuming it is common to still be generally muscle sore 2 weeks after surgery (and I have a toddler to boot, single mom here) - so I watch it as much as humanly possible...
hmmm.... |
