OVERS girls.. I have a question about dropping..!!

Okay so I know that overs don't really drop and fluff. But I am almost 3 weeks post op and my right is STILL higher than my left.. its very noticable in clothes and pictures i wish i could get one up here to show you.. I have been having some complications (hematoma).. but even if I didn't ... is this the way my breasts are going to permanantly look?!?! I remember my PS saying something about my chestbone being different on each side so that they'll probably not be perfectly equal but still.. Its a VERY noticable differene. My right is higher and rounder almost baseball looking while my left looks natural and falls nicely into a bra.

i was just wondering if there is hope that my righty will drop.. it's not lookin good but if this has happened to anyone else with overs let me know!!

I have overs.. after the swelling went away, about 3-4 weeks post op, my boobs pretty much were what they are now. They should take on a natural slope.. if one is higher, it could just be they are healing at different rates. When we have implants we have the same shape, and same asymetry as pre ba unless the ps used different sizes. As long as the higher one feels soft, and is moving around in the pocket, its likely just slower to heal. If it begins to feel hard, tight, then you might want to have it checked out.
I had two different looking and sizes during the first few weeks after my ba. They are more or less the same, and even now.. but even saying that NONE of us are exactly the same on both sides.. so there is always going to be "slight" differences. I think the key is slight, if it's significant, and by 6 weeks post off hasnt changed.. then it might be something that you should address with your ps.. Good luck.. hopefully all is well.

First of all Hi there and how are you? Here in Germany we have a strange bra type thing called the stuttgarter gürtel (stuttgart is a place and gürtel translated is a belt) it is a wide elastic band with velcro on the end to adjust this is worn after the op and pushes over the boobs and pushes them down. I am sure you could easily make one yourself .I wore one for my last BA and will wear mine again after my redo.....apart from this I cannot offer any advice...sorry....I hope you are feeling better - even just a little bit? Take it with little steps you will get there...

I'm sure your other boobie will catch up & drop soon, Abbeyrose. Maybe she's a little lazy. You poor thing, you have had so many problems, I really feel for you.

It's so hard after a BA, because we are focused on our boobs, every day for a while. And we notice every little thing. Give it some time, TRY & relax, do something different maybe - read or watch movies.

What Bebby said is very good too. I have to wear the same thing - the big elastic strap over the top of my sports bra, & stuck down on each side with velcro. It does seem to have helped with the dropping. The company that makes it is called marenagroup.com or maybe go to a haberdashery store & get some wide elastic. Check with your PS if it's ok, they may even have them there.

I can relate to that...my right is a little bit lower then my left (which seems to be mores stubborn) I dont know if that has to do with the fact that I am right-handed...who knows...but I thinks they will even out eventually...give it more time & massage!

hi im in the same boat, lefty is higher, rounder and bigger.whilst righty has a more natural slope at the top and is noticably smaller. there is also more side boob on lefty!! im hoping it just swelling and that in a few weeks theyll look more similar. pre op i had barely noticable asymetary but now i feel that its very noticable! seeing my ps on tuesday so im hoping he'll say im stressing about nothing and it'll even out

I can't really say, I'm just 9 days post op and they are still slowlyyyyy dropping lol.. I know it takes months to get them to look good and natural (so I've been reading) and it takes alot of patience which dear lord I lack! My PS has said they will start to drop and look natural in a few months, I really do hope so, my breasts are still really hard and didn't really drop which worries me. However my boyfriend says they did drop, but since I constantly am looking at them I can hardly see the difference.. good luck to your recovery!

I am about a week behind you and my lefty is still much higher (I did have asymetry before but jeez) and righty seems quite content where it is. I can even still see the scar on lefty, whereas right is hiding it nicely. I don't have a lot of advice for you, just wanted you to know you were not alone! I have my fingers crossed for us both!

I would attribute it to the hematoma. What are they going to do about that, by the way? They can take a couple of months to re-absorb if left alone but from the sounds of what you've got through I am not sure leaving it alone is the best idea. JMO though.
